You may have heard the dreadfully sad news that JungleZgok’s wonderful 18 year old son recently died very suddenly. Mental ill health can be such a devastating illness. Bless his heart. Life has been very cruel to them all. We send JungleZgok, her DH and their daughters our love and are so sorry. They are all in our thoughts. 
We are so glad that she has accepted our offer of a Woolly Hug, we hope it may give whatever comfort it can. There will be love crafted into every stitch. JungleZgok’s original thread is here…

Important crafting info, please do read
Squares to be six inches, using 4mm needles or hook. Please knot off VERY carefully when finishing or changing colour and sew your ends in, thank you! No blocking please, makes it much easier to join squares.
Simple or complex, made by beginner or expert, we genuinely welcome them all. It really is the love and thought that counts.
Ideas from lovely Jungle
His favourite colour was purple and he liked flowers (in particular the Bird of Paradise, pic in OP). He loved DIIV the band, sunsets and all types of music too. (DIIV is an American rock band from Brooklyn, New York City.)

We know that some schools in the UK are already on summer break, and others are imminently doing likewise, so plan to stretch the last posting date to Saturday 10th September to give everyone a chance.

@SpringSparrow The epic skateboard square. Am truly IN AWE. Thank you. Absolutely gutting though, we had a Post Office scenario that has mashed Sparrow’s parcel. And two squares are awol. So sad this has happened. So glad the skateboard made it though.

Hi PurpleFrog - K&P are away for the week from now .They will be safely putting them all together ready for when they get back .

Afternoon! Been away for a couple of weeks and must have just missed your parcel @PurpleFrog !
@KnottyAndPistey what a wonderful person you are to have seen this through. I donated money for wool so that someone could knit and have been quietly following the developments. Not sure if you’ll be posting a pic of the blanket in all its glory. Hope this blanket and all the love that went into it brings some comfort to @JungleZgok .
