How to cover this for house viewing

Hi - I know this is a really small thing, but it's bugging me. We disassembled DS's triple sleeper so he had this small double and a single. Trouble is we can't get the dowel out and I think it looks stupid poking up like that on the marketing photo!

What can I drape over it? Blanket? Throw? Or something more imaginative please. I'd welcome your ideas. 😊

Gorgeous house OP! I could actually cry that £600k would only barely buy a 2 bedroom flat where we are though. Maybe it's time for a move to Weston! Confused

Gorgeous house!

PS - you could have sawn off the dowel a then used a drill bit better of the same size to drill out the hole 😁

Just an update for all of you lovely people. We have accepted an offer of £625 k for the dowel and thrown the house in for free! 😆

Thank you for giving me a laugh and helping me see how ridiculous I was!

Great news!

Great news, congrats. Can we perve over the house you’re buying?!

MadameCholetsDirtySecret · 14/07/2022 12:30

It’s a lovely house but too many photos until you get inside shots. The order needs changing.

We are in a crash pad at the moment near to DS's new school - so we will stay here for the foreseeable and take our time looking for a lovely new place nearby. I'll def post when we find something nice though. We can do a MN tour together!

Great news!

Thank you! 😁
We were so chuffed because it was the first people who viewed it who offered. I am absolutely sold on the practice of decluttering and staging now though. The buyers said it was the sense of space and calm they loved and I had to laugh a bit - because our garage, Gumtree and the tip are full of everything we had to take out in order to make it look like that. It's not reality, is it - all airy and immaculately presented? We have a son and cats and we are incredibly scatter-brained and untidy as a family. Usually there's cat sick or DS's trail of porridge oats on the floor and piles of dirty laundry haha. One day if I am brave enough I will post the "before" pictures next to the staged ones!

Another PP said that as well and honestly I had never thought about it.
