Exaggerated or not, this was so sad to read. His view of how the world works is going to be rather distorted if she continues all this. My other immediate thought was to wonder what her experience of being parented and shown love was like when she was younger. It reads like someone who's been hurt/ damaged doing the same to their own child just by different means.
