Her little one chucked it away in the town centre and she cried for 3 days... Good grief!

First thing I checked was the date of the article-was sure it was an April Fool!

Figgygal · 03/07/2022 08:50

Did the outlet that first published this just wrote this shit and pay someone to be the face of it?
Or did she make it up and they saw the opportunity to ignite a benefits bashing bonanza so ran with it

What shite

As crazy as this mother is.... it's better to read about a mother who loves her child than articles or child neglect and even death. (I'm not her I promise 😂)

Except "mother loves child!" shouldn't be a flaming news article in the first place.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 03/07/2022 09:39

Poor little mite - his mother sounds completely bonkers.

ivfbabymomma1 · 03/07/2022 10:12

@Johnnysgirl that's true

Bloody millennials 🙄🙄😆

She's older than a millennial. She looks Gen X

TrufflesForBreakfast · 03/07/2022 17:30

She's 32 @BruceWaynettaSlob so most definitely peak millennial Grin

Johnnysgirl · 03/07/2022 17:35

She looks older. Must be all that shit she's had pumped into her face.

RJnomore1 · 02/07/2022 20:06

She’s not too well is she?

My first thought. It's not funny at all.
She's mentally unwell and I feel sorry for her and her child.

Vampirethriller · 04/07/2022 06:24

It's in my local paper too, she does say she asks her ex for money so I imagine he's the one actually paying for most of it. If it is actually true.

Dinoteeth · 04/07/2022 06:41

I want to know where you go to buy a gold dummy? It's not exactly what you'd pick up in the local supermarket.

Gingerkittykat · 04/07/2022 07:00

Bordesleyhills · 02/07/2022 20:11

£1000 on dummy and she’s on benefits ....

It looks like the benefit baiting has worked.

Benefits for her and a child (not including housing) would be around £650, which is not enough to buy gold dummies. It also said she had a nanny, which means she either worked or has an exceptionally rich ex who is funding it.

There is a pic of the child with his £1000 dummy. Does this mean she found it or bought a new one?

I'm guessing this story is a work of fiction.

Gingerkittykat · 04/07/2022 07:11

I googled the solid gold dummy to see if any designers make them and came across this link. It looks like the gold dummy is actually £15.99 from Ebay. 🤔😂

Dinoteeth · 04/07/2022 07:16

£15.99 ebay it won't be solid gold then.

Tonysopranosghost · 04/07/2022 07:29

Ah come on, that article is 100% solid gold bollocks.

Fizbosshoes · 04/07/2022 07:33

That article is a load of shite. I'm a SM on benefits and I can barely afford to fill my children's bath with hot water.

Fair fucks to her for being paid for a made up story, but this is the sort of BS that fuckwits use to "make points" about those on benefits.

Agree - I only read the first couple of paragraphs, thought it was BS and didn't bother reading the rest.

dontgobaconmyheart · 04/07/2022 09:03

I came upon this yesterday and it.made me uncomfortable. I felt she came across as unwell and found it sad for both her and the child, who is subject to what sound like some very unhealthy levels of attachment off the back of it.

IncompleteSenten · 04/07/2022 09:05

Good story to bring out the frothers but I seriously doubt it's true.

If it is then that kid's going to grow up to be a bloody nightmare!

Eviandoll · 04/07/2022 09:26

So how did this story get into the paper in the first place ?

Sounds to me like an attempt at 'self publicity' and what better way than by doing something that's obviously going to provoke responses, I'm seeing too many of these 'stories' now to believe they're even genuine, I suspect they're mostly concocted by various 'trashy' newspapers to fill up 'dead' space.
