Redactle - THE HINTS THREAD

Given how difficult it is to offer hints for redactle, without giving it away/being too obvious, this is a specific thread for hints.

Doesn't mean that they should give the game away, but it just stops other players seeing the hint every time they access the main thread.

So from now on, just keep your stats and general comments on the main thread and come here for any hints!

@TheHideAndSeekingHill do you need a hint yet or are you plugging words in and hoping for the best like I did

No it wasn't, I just meant it's still a bit early for hinting just yet.

Let us know when you need a hint. I got the first word by pure chance.

Is there something wrong with redactle today? Literally none if my guesses are in there! I think I need a clue!

So I've only found seven words out 287 guesses, that can't be right! Lots of very common words used and nine of them are there!

I was like Jessie, I don't think I've ever had such a low percentage hit rate. Got it now, thanks to these hints, but it still feels quite unsatisfying. When you see the final article the low rate of correct words isn't really surprising at all, if you don't get at least one of the title words you're reduced to wild guessing.

Ahhhh thank you for the hint @NewBootsAndRanty which got me the second word and then I guessed the first eventually

Thanks for the hints. I had 107 guesses, with an accuracy of only 18.69%. I think that's my worst accuracy so far!

Done in 29 (though I had a few more guesses on my phone first)
