Redactle - THE HINTS THREAD

Given how difficult it is to offer hints for redactle, without giving it away/being too obvious, this is a specific thread for hints.

Doesn't mean that they should give the game away, but it just stops other players seeing the hint every time they access the main thread.

So from now on, just keep your stats and general comments on the main thread and come here for any hints!

I solved today's Redactle (#321) in 275 guesses with an accuracy of 28.73%.

I can't make it finish today, because of the unusual character!

I C&P from the actual TARGET page, and it's filled in, so I have the full title there, but it's not "completed" the article (and the C&P'ed guess doesn't appear in my guess list). The other possible spellings without that character don't work.

Anyone got any ideas how to get it to play nicely?

No idea, I've given up!

I gave up too.
I spent a while just filling it in but it's a really long and quite dull article so I stopped about halfway down on about 600 guesses (I filled in the title and all possible spellings of both title words at about 100)

Resign myself to a gap in my stats then!!

I couldn't find any way to get the piece to fill in either. I think it's a bug.

I managed to finish by copying the word with ligature from elsewhere online.
This worked for me:

Just tried that from the actual wiki page and it just put it as the guess that filled in the title, but didn't uncover the article.
I got the weird lettered spelling for that guess by long pressing a on my phone keyboard.
Did you copy the word from somewhere else?

No, I'm just blind, and was so happy it filled the title that I didn't care about the full article

Even though I've copied the specific format of the letters, it's still not completing the article, so I've given up for now. Means I've lost my 'streak' but I don't really mind about that.

It's a new day now, the horror of "the Redactle that could not be named" is over.

Glad I broke my streak a while ago when I did it on a different device and forgot to put it into my usual one!

I've just been looking at my stats, and yesterday is simply not there.

Is that what usually happens?
