Redactle - THE HINTS THREAD

Given how difficult it is to offer hints for redactle, without giving it away/being too obvious, this is a specific thread for hints.

Doesn't mean that they should give the game away, but it just stops other players seeing the hint every time they access the main thread.

So from now on, just keep your stats and general comments on the main thread and come here for any hints!

Nope, still bamboozled. I have a bit of a 'thing' about sciencey ones - panic mode and confusion abound.

@dapsnotplimsolls the T word that will lead you there is a cross between a stuffed animal and stargazing.

It's an excellent description - cross-posted though! I got the long c word in the first sentence and that was enough to google from.

I'm stumped. Got the b word and the p word. Is there a clue to the sp word please?

I am so stuck today. I seem to have 2 completely different subjects that I can't for the life of me think how they relate to each other. Any hints?

It's definitely a word you know, but also (politely) refers to a type of word you probably feel like using at this point.

I'm new to this, still stuck on yesterday's, and mystified by the hints. Teddy bears and astronomy? When you refer to the T word, do you mean a word beginning with T? Words I feel like using are things like "blaspheme", but that's another fat zero. Grrrrr.

Frustrated!

So, of course, having posted that I've suddenly found the word. But I'm still mystified by those hints 😢

Stargazing = Astronomy
Mix of these = Taxonomy

You were weirdly close with blaspheme yesterday, that really should have got a hit. I think it was more about placing a curse than saying a curse word, but the hint was really to redirect thinking to angry words.

Help! I have loads of words but am at a loss. I don't know how much I can even say on here to ask for a hint.

It's a hard one to give hints for. I had loads of zeros before I accidentally stumbled onto a really useful word. It's animal related. Does that help or did you already know that?

Think about something that we'll probably all be wearing soon.
