Rees Mogg is anti-abortion too. This government is heading towards fascism already, changing any laws that stop them doing what they want.

I wish they spoke a different language in America because maybe then we wouldn't keep importing their shit ideas. Europe don't seem to keep copying America like we do

I don't think Rees Mogg (typing that autocorrects to Mogadishu ... ) speaks for anyone except himself so I doubt it signals the U.K. 'importing their shit ideas'

His stances come from Catholicism rather than apeing American republicans.

GreenLunchBox · 24/06/2022 23:04

Yes, that guy

He's a hypocrite and loves lining his pockets above all else like the rest of them

once again moggie has shown us he believes something until it gets in the way of making money

TroublesomeLuck · 24/06/2022 23:09

Isn't Scott Benton gay? I think he needs to be very careful about what he wishes for, to be honest... there are plenty of Republicans who'd put pay to his troublesome lot, too

He’s a practising Catholic, this is completely in-line with his stated beliefs.

So whys he investing in a company that makes 'abortion pills' then? Don't answer because I don't actually care

Being anti abortion is nothing to do with fascism. I think it massively weakens the argument when you call common or garden dickheads fascists.

It’s money first for Reese Mogg, if he’s a Catholic then he’s not so bothered about womens bodily autonomy. And Ohhhappyday If you don’t like abortions, don’t have one, they’re not mandatory, they are a woman’s choice.

Why? Even if you are religious and oppose abortion it is in your interest to support greater freedom because that protects your rights, in a nation where Christianity is sometimes unpopular.

Britain has a long history of persecuting Catholics. The same movement towards social reform which liberated women also liberated religious minorities.
