DS is almost 4 and has ASD and a speech delay. He went out in the garden and said "mama, lovely, lovely day". It really made me smile. Anyone else want to share?

DC3 is 2. We’ve co-slept most of her life, but have reached the point now where she’ll gk to bed at bedtime in her big sister’s bedroom, then migrates through to my bed at some point in the night. When she comes to my room, most nights she’ll run to me, climb up into bed, grab my face with both hands, push her face into mine and say “I miss you Mama” 🥺🥺🥺

My two and a half year old boy is either a tantruming pain, or the most loving boy you'll ever meet. As well as proclaiming his love for me on an hourly basis, he often looks at me and says "Mummy, I like your face" 🥰

My five year old girl still calls white bread "light bread" which always makes me smile as reminds me of when she was small.

My youngest was so proud when he got a "spertificate" at school the other day.

My 5 year old calls the little slips you get if there is an injury at school 'hurt certificates' 🤣🤩

HSKAT · 17/06/2022 12:17

When he asks for toasted bread

DropYourSword · 17/06/2022 12:19

We call a tapas style meal of finger food a "piggle" instead of the much hated mumsnet term picky bits

My son now asks if we can have a prickle for tea.

Many years ago DD had her first sports day race at Primary. She was thrilled, she came first at the back.

Kione · 17/06/2022 12:29

DS is 5 and DD 12, so he picks up on her vocabulary.
When I ask if he wants jam or butter on his toast "butter, of course". And every time he uses big words, so cute. He got scared with the noise while we where watching a show. After crying for 20 min (on way to the car), he said "that was terrible" with the saddest face SadHalo

Also we taught him to pronounce number 3, "three" vs "free", so now sometimes he comes "thirst" instead of "first" Blush

My daughter used to jump up and down shouting "I won third!"

My 2 year old DS told me something was "all gone sweetie" which made me laugh.

He's also started calling hand dryers "hoover dryers" which I think is going to stick.

DockOTheBay · 17/06/2022 13:06

My 5 year old calls my 2 year old by the same terms of endearment I use. So she will say "sorry sweetheart its all gone" or "time to go home love" to her little sister which is super cute.

My favourite one is "sorry sweetheart, thats life!"

ABrotherWhoLooksLikeHellMugYou · 17/06/2022 13:12

When DD was about 4 or 5 "you and me, Mummy, we are bee yooutiful girls"
I still think about that and hope she always feels that way about herself

Basilbrushgotfat · 17/06/2022 13:15

Love these :)

Bummocks123 · 17/06/2022 13:18

My 3 year old told me he hurt his "thumb toe". Literally can't fault his logic!

RedPanda901 · 17/06/2022 13:20

My daughter used to call fizzy water busy water. Well, it sort of is!

Kindofcrunchy · 17/06/2022 13:36

We had a series of power cuts last night. My 2.5 yo said "I have an idea! Change the house batteries mummy!"

pipping · 17/06/2022 13:45

My 9 year old often asks things like how was your day, how was work etc. Obviously mirroring me asking about school but just so cute.

doodlejump1980 · 17/06/2022 13:46

My wee one said he hurt his bum-elbow (hip) 😊

Rainallnight · 17/06/2022 13:46

When DD was 2, she got a toy kitchen for Christmas. An little oven glove came with it and she said ‘look! Kitchen mitten!’ 😊

Thesearmsofmine · 17/06/2022 13:51

My youngest always called the lawn mower the lawn blower, he’s 6 now so usually uses the right name but sometimes slips up and calls it the lawn blower and it just makes me smile.
