DS is almost 4 and has ASD and a speech delay. He went out in the garden and said "mama, lovely, lovely day". It really made me smile. Anyone else want to share?

My five year old asks for a "two'd slice of toast uncooked" so a jam sandwich.

Also radidator.

Also "I love ya, Mumma!" Whenever he sees me. I hope he doesn't stop anytime soon because it cheers me right up.

Wherever my 2.5 yr old dd1 is in the house, if she hears her baby sister (7 weeks) crying she sings twinkle twinkle.
If she's in the same room, she'll go and pat her and say "there there, it's ok" like a little old lady

We're raising DD bilingual Hebrew/English and she sometimes mixes the two in a sentence, as in "more ktzat" for "a bit more". I find it absolutely adorable!

FinallyHere · 17/06/2022 19:41

DGC live abroad, we don't seem them as often as we would like.

Last time they visited, 'l' and 'w' were interchangeable, so they said 'I wike it' or 'I don't wike it' pretty often.

We found it adorable & adopted for everyday usage.

Three years later, we are still saying it (in private) at every opportunity. Imagine the scathing looks we scored anytime we said it out loud in front of them.

My 3 yr old nephew when I say it's bedtime replies with 'it's very sunny outside' I know gorgeous boy but it's still bedtime! He's absolutely lovely.

My daughter (age 4) has a toy wind-up lobster she plays with in the bath which she calls a lompster and I hope she never says it properly!

She told me the other day that she had fizzy feet, although usually she'd call that pins and noodles 😁

Chickadeeandchic · 17/06/2022 20:07

My 2.5yo DD loves to tell us when we've been good girls and boys, which always makes my day!

Today at swimming she seen my pubes as we were getting changed and said "oh no mummy, you've got a bit of black on your 'gina. It's OK honeybunch, don't worry, I'll clean it off for you later" then patted my arm and smiled at me.
..the woman in the next cubicle couldn't hold in her giggles!

lemonyfox · 17/06/2022 20:26

My toddler called blueberries 'boobies' and sticks are 'dicks'.

He's still very early on in learning his words but he's trying!

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 17/06/2022 20:38

My now 15 year old used to say 'sumbarine' instead of submarine, which I adored beyond reason. He gets terribly cross if I mention it now 🤭

Blackcountryexile · 17/06/2022 20:48

When DD was about 2 she wasn't happy about leaving what she was doing to have breakfast. Eventually she said very firmly "I make my point" !

doodlejump1980 · 17/06/2022 13:46

My wee one said he hurt his bum-elbow (hip) 😊

You win. This is brilliantGrinGrinGrin

hellmannsnotheinz · 17/06/2022 20:58

My 2yo dd says "come here sweetheart" to the dog

😂flaps! Oh that's priceless and has certainly cheered up my day 😂

My 4 year old DS calls my boobs my "feeders" as I'm still BFing my 2 year old.

I was breastfeeding my baby when my 3 year old came in asked what I was doing, I told him I was giving his sister her milk. He asked "Is there juice in the other one?"

WishILivedInThrushGreen · 17/06/2022 21:14

Whenever my mid twenties children phone me, they end the conversations with 'love you mum!'

meow1989 · 17/06/2022 21:14

Ds (nearly 4) has started with compliments ("you look nice mummy , I like your top") and telling us he hopes we have a nice day / asking if we have done.

Hes also started asking of we know how much he loves us (forever/billions) and asking "who is the best mummy/daddy". Little love.

Bananarama101 · 17/06/2022 21:17

DD (nearly 3) calls unicorns hornicons, which is now the default name. Also toothpaste is called tooth soap, which is fair enough I think!

Dogroses · 17/06/2022 21:20

When DS4 has a sore throat he says his 'sponge wall' hurts (he learned about it on a show about whale sharks)

He calls Frisbees 'crizbees'

'Toast not toasted' - when he wants a slice of bread

He said he's not sure if he's going to grow up to be a boy or a girl - nobody has told him yet 😂

Dogroses · 17/06/2022 21:25

Oh, and when he was 3 we tried to explain that bubble water and fizzy water are the same by saying 'bubble water IS fizzy water.' So for 6 months he asked for 'bubble water is fizzy water please.'

Lovethatforyou · 17/06/2022 21:26

DH is an electrician and DS, 5 yo, always says his dad is a magician 💙

JennyForeigner · 17/06/2022 21:28

Our nearly three year old has learned from someone to say 'awww, nice cuddle' when he launches himself at/wraps himself around you.

Kayjay2018 · 17/06/2022 21:33

My 2 year old can't say sandals and is currently calling them candles.

CeriBerry · 17/06/2022 21:37

My gorgeous SD (3) calls her pyjamas her jamamas and it warms my heart every time!

Cuwins · 17/06/2022 21:37

Not my DD as she is only 4.5m but my godson used to call otters, which he loved, dotters and I still do to this day!
A young boy with autism I looked after on looking down on a city while driving on a hill- 'look it's America!'
Same child has said so many fabulous things over the years that I can't list them all- many of them very logical when you think about it but hilarious at the time.

FASDE1517 · 17/06/2022 21:50

I've shared this before but my son didn't want salad meatballs on his Christmas dinner... Brussel sprouts!
