Why didn't you just leave then? If you buggered off to the toilet to cry and shake and post on Mumsnet you couldn't have been that fussed about the film anyway.

Peoniesandcream · 12/06/2022 12:05

You sound like a snobby weirdo.

springbreak22 · 12/06/2022 12:50

Imagine bringing up a child to be upset over a smell.

Get. A. Grip

And what if he didn't like your perfume/deodorant/lack of?

And WTF do you mean by dodgy?

Moooooooooooooooooo · 12/06/2022 13:16

Please tell us what they say when you ask for your money back - we love a good laugh.

(cinema here is £3.99).

Zwellers · 12/06/2022 13:53

I reckon dodgy in this instance could mean foreign looking.

Get a grip op. You are doing your children no favours

HikingforScenery · 12/06/2022 14:00

I’d really hate to sit next to someone smelling of cigarettes/booze in a cinema. I’d probably go out and see if I could change seats. If that’s not possible, I’d leave.
I struggle with such strong smells generally. I can just about cope with having to smell it while walking by etc but I couldn’t do it for the full length of a movie.

why would you assume someone smelly is “foreign-looking”?
What do you mean by “foreign-looking”?

Your dd was upset by someone smelling of booze and cigarettes? Fuck me. Don't ever let her on public transport, whatever you do.

prime example of how the snowflake generation came into being.

newbiename · 12/06/2022 14:19

@isyoursave what do you mean by dodgy ?

Some people do stink. I sympathise, the last time I went to the cinema it was very expensive and I was sat next to a very smelly man. I’m sure your DD will get over it.

I guess this is why you wait for the DVD. Then
you can sit at home and the only BO you gave to endure is your own!

sweeneytoddsrazor · 12/06/2022 15:58

I really don't think homeless people tend to go to the cinema. No doubt its some chap who went out, had a meal a pint and a fag before the film.

iklboo · 12/06/2022 16:29

Do you have anxiety? The two posts you've made on here this weekend sound like you might & it's making your life difficult.

Also, define 'dodgy looking'. Aren't cinemas usually dark - even when the ads / trailers are on?
