It happens in public, no its nice but what do you expect staff to do? Escort him out. How ridiculous.

Henerlo · 11/06/2022 22:48

Lol! Maybe he has.

I was smashed when I went to watch Top Gun last week 🤣 on a Wednesday too.

Yodaisawally · 11/06/2022 22:52

You must really be enjoying the film to go for a wee and be on Mumsnet.

Sux2buthen · 11/06/2022 22:54

Looks so dodgy you left your daughter with them to post on Mumsnet Grin
Seriously though, It's fair to hate the smell but nothing you can do about it

Iputthetrampintrampoline · 11/06/2022 22:57

ffs OP ....

ladydimitrescu · 11/06/2022 22:59

Really? Hmm

BluebellsareBlue · 11/06/2022 23:04

@isyoursave how is this thread going for you?

BurscoughBooths · 11/06/2022 23:10

Not acceptable to be on your phone during the trailers

Eggsinthemorning · 11/06/2022 23:17

@BluebellsareBlue me I have all that plus a northern accent ha I will never go to the cinema again lol

Changedagain876 · 12/06/2022 06:28

I’ve fully lost it at “he’s shit himself”

Never go to the cinema again? You really shouldn't be leaving the house incase you inflict yourself upon poor unsuspecting people 😂😂😂

Eggsinthemorning · 12/06/2022 08:16

🤣🤣🤣🤣

There is woman that gets on the bus near me, I can only cope with 5 minutes. Then I move. The smell is horrible.
Local cinema charges £16.99, I would complain.

I'd complain too if our cinema cost £16.99!
Ours is £4.99

(was it a typo for £6.99?)

My local is either £14.50 or £17.50 depending which seats you choose.

They do cheap(er) kids sessions for about nine quid.

Nw22 · 12/06/2022 08:31

Wow people are rude. I find the smell of cigarette smoke to be disgusting and would have to move or leave. It actually makes me feel sick.

MumofSpud · 12/06/2022 08:38

£16 a ticket here
Usually I go to the supermarket next door for sweets / drink but it had closed down and because I am greedy I bought a drink and popcorn in the cinema:
£18 (2 people) Because I was in shock at the prices (and it was busy) I didn't have time to look at the 'deals' properly so may have been able to save a couple of quid.
So cinema (for 2) was £54 (inc car park!)
I know this isn't the point of the thread

Recently I went to see a musical and the group of people in the row in front stank - BO /cigarettes - I just stuck my mask on!

Kids need to be taught a) resilience and b) how to wash

This is like the thread of the mum worried that her 10 year old will be bored in a 1 hour church service

rocketfromthecrypt · 12/06/2022 08:39

I hope you put your phone away, quietly told your child to get a grip, then shut up and enjoyed the film.

motherofdragons454 · 12/06/2022 08:53

If you were posting from the loo i hope your dd went with you or did you leave her alone in a dark room sitting next to the 'dodgy man' if so you can't have been that worried.

Stop being so judgemental. It's clearly rubbing off on your child and it's not a nice way to bring children up. No reason to be suspicious unless the man is bothering you. Get a grip.

Alliswells · 12/06/2022 08:59

Inklingpot · 11/06/2022 20:24

Jesus Christ. Mumsnet gets more and more ridiculous every day. Get a fucking grip.

I think this everyday but this one has to be up there with one of the most ridiculous

EmilyBolton · 12/06/2022 09:02

isyoursave · 11/06/2022 20:13

I posted during the trailers and have come out to the loo now

Im not inconsiderate

They look and smell dodgy

It is possible that they are homeless. Someone has given them money and they’ve come in somewhere to sit where there are comfy seats - not ideal but that’s where we are.

Yeah... sure you did.

Has it ever crossed your precious mind that maybe, just maybe, the man might have an alcohol addiction/struggle?

MissNothing1991 · 12/06/2022 11:50

And if your daughter is indeed upset, its because of your personality clearly rubbing off on her. Mind you. You're that bothered about both your upset daughter and the movie you're whinging about, that you've sat on your phone and gone to the loos, missing the film, just to whinge about some random man.
