Kids TV characters you’d slap if you could?

We’ve just started watching Fireman Sam here so this thread has been inspired by Norman Price. What a wanker.

I can’t work out if it’s more or less painful than Paw Patrol. Why does an entire town (including it’s Mayor?!?!) need to be continuously saved by a ten year old boy?

I can never get behind the Bing hate personally.

So… Kids TV characters you’d slap if you could?

another vote for Bing

however we adore Duggee, Bluey & Numberblocks

Do you happen to know why the Squirrels are called Squirrels? Also, I noticed on Amazon the other day that Norrie is described as a squirrel (as in the rodent). I am pretty sure she's a mouse!

Bing wins hands down. He must be the only rabbit in the world that isn't cute.

PJ Masks annoys me because now my children are convinced they don't need to sleep and should try to sneak out at night to save the world.

The weird mayor and her pet chicken in paw patrol as well. The way she shouts "chickolettaaaa!" makes me want to throw her off a cliff.

Moon and me. So freaky. In one episode the clown said it was taking its shoes off and removed its feet entirely. And why does a baby live alone on the moon? Why is there a talking onion? Whoever came up with that was clearly on some interesting drugs.

I thought the new special delivery Postman Pat was one of the most irritating people.

Story line goes:
Pat makes a mistake
Pat has problem with mail due to mistake
Everyone else sorts it out
Everyone says Pat is a hero.

The adults in Waffle and Topsy and Tim, who always join in with the kids’ games with such bastard gusto that it sets unrealistic expectations for my own kid, making me look like a half-arsed parent. Twats.

Twizbe · 10/06/2022 13:22

@Squiff70 it's easy, Bluey is a girl. Don't think there's much to get the head round.

I LOVE Bluey. Best kids show on TV.

The only Bing episode I like is the vaccination one. It's actually a good prep for the preschool jabs.

Starburst8 · 10/06/2022 13:22

I agree with everyone, Bing is whiney!

Steve from Steve and Maggie annoys me though over pronouncing everything!

Tulipmonster · 10/06/2022 13:26

Pando from Bing. Put some trousers on and learn to take turns, you irritating little twat.

Starupinthelightningsky · 10/06/2022 13:46

I think Amma rolls her eyes at Flop's permissiveness a lot.

Clevs · 10/06/2022 13:49

Blippi

MrsReeves · 10/06/2022 13:55

Aaah, not Andy @Vampirethriller I have a soft spot for him because he read out my sons birthday card when he was 3 🤣

This thread is hilarious

I taught my grandson to shout at Pando to put his shorts on, and to yell at the green thing to stop enabling him!

The cast of Waffle. Thank goodness my two are older now.

I want whatever Topsy and Tim's mum has been snorting.

ElenaSt · 10/06/2022 14:08

Mine are now adults and my so used to love Barney -

ElenaSt · 10/06/2022 14:09

Maybe it's a dislike for big purple creatures but Tinky Winky could also do with a boot up the arse.

lickenchugget · 10/06/2022 14:17

The whole family on Waffle the dog

Actually you’re right, the whole cast

Flop from Bing winds me up. What even is he meant to be? Looks like some kind of knitted peanut and why is he so small?

I have a theory.

SatinHeart · 10/06/2022 14:21

Ryder from paw patrol. Simply because in however many episodes he has never managed to take the right pups for the job at the start because Chase is his favourite and so always ends up calling for backup part way through.

Mommabear20 · 10/06/2022 14:46

Bing needs a slap in the face with a hammer!

Kindofcrunchy · 10/06/2022 14:50

Pip and bloody Posie. Pair of wet blankets!

Elderflower14 · 10/06/2022 14:54

Agree re Norman Price... He belongs in Borstal!!!
From when ds2 was small Max and Ruby drove me demented... Never any adults around to supervise them...!!

StarTwins · 10/06/2022 15:00

My youngest is 12 so we missed Bing - I generally enjoyed most of CBeebies apart from Mike the Knight, who I couldn't stand - don't know if he is still around though.

I use a picture of Bing for darts practice.

Vampirethriller · 10/06/2022 15:13

@MrsReeves hmmm I suppose he can have a slight reprieve for that. But only slight.

Also, everyone on Waffle except Mrs Hobbs, who I completely sympathise with.
