I'm trying to come up with songs and instrumentals for a CD compilation (yes, I still make these!). So far, I've come up with:

Stomp! Brothers Johnson
Play That Funky Music Wild Cherry
Spanish Hustle Fatback Band
Ain't No Stopping Us Now McFadden and Whitehead
September Earth, Wind and Fire
Soul City Walk Archie Bell and The Drells
Pick Up The Pieces Average White Band

Any suggestions please?

So many good love songs across the decades from these genres but one that takes me back to the school disco slow dance is One Day In Your Life by Michael Jackson.

Donna Summer: Could It Be Magic?
George Michael: Too Funky
Soul II Soul: Move Me No Mountain
The Bamboos: I Got Burned
The Rockmelons: New Groove
I'm Talking: Lead The Way
Patti Austin: Didn't Say A Word
Loleatta Holloway: Runaway

Brass Construction - Movin'
Roy Ayers - Can't You See Me

So many great tracks suggested here. Agree about that Donny Hathaway track - what a voice 😍

When is the club night? I wanna go...
