My chest jiggles constantly and it’s a bit embarrassing

ill start this off by saying I’m a bigger lady about 42F , but my cups are still bigger a little left over from breast feeding.

they seem to just jiggle constantly when I’m walking at a normal pace , they are quite full and lots of movement in them which I should probably be grateful for 😁
but people really do have a good stare , men and women alike and I’m a bit worried it’s not only embarrassing for me but my older sons if I’m out an about,

I know this is a ridiculous problem but I’m wondering if anyone else has suffered this in the past?

@SmellyWellyWoo I was pretty much the same size as you (though not anymore)! I first got fitted at this corner shop in Oxford St though I can't really remember the name, maybe sb can help? I think I went left when I got off at Bond St and it was this bloody huge shop lingerie on the right though maybe it's not even there anymore. The fitting took 10 seconds and it was accurate as heck, the lady also recommended some models as I needed support (honestly I would avoid the bralettes some people recommended here as I don't think they'd be strong enough to be able to hold even just one of the girls! Hahah).

Rigby & Peller - by no means cheap - was always recommended as somewhere that would fit you superbly and make sure you had a fully supporting and comfortable bra. I can’t honestly say I own any of their bras (and I’m only a C cup) but I have a couple of friends who swear by them and who are more endowed than I am. I am totally sure the right lingerie is out there for you - and will make you feel so much happier.

@SmellyWellyWoo I'd say you just have to try a lot of bras. Even those labelled the same size have a lot of variation between brands, or within brands but the magic bra is out there somewhere.

I think I tried every beige bra in Bravissimo before we hit the right one. Strapless was even worse but found it in the end.

Everytime someone recommends this brand, I have a look. They are so ugly and I genuinely can't see how they give an attractive shape or any lift without the band being so tight as to be uncomfortable. Ok for lounging about at home I suppose.

They're so much more comfortable than my wired bras and the lift is far better. Fair enough if the style isn't for you but don't be so dismissive if you've never tried them

OP, if you are anywhere near Sheffield, I can recommend a superb independent lingerie shop.

And I can recommend the same shop Grin

Rockbird · 05/06/2022 08:26

I'm bigger than you OP and hate underwired bras. I swear by M&S total support bras. They're not especially pretty but they keep my boobs where I like them and they're totally solid, they don't move at all. No jiggling whatsoever.

cupofdecaf · 05/06/2022 08:29

I have a similar size and shape.
The moulded T-shirt bras are horrible and create a kind of bowl for the boobs the jiggle in. My boobs actually climb/ jiggle out of the top.

What you need are non padded bras. They sit closer and tighter around the boob and move with it giving much more support.

I love the hot milk temptation nursing bra. I'm still breast feeding occasionally and my boobs fluctuate in size and this bra accommodates that. They are by far the most supportive nursing bra I have every tried.

Honestly give up on anything with padding or any firmness to it and go with underwired and non- padded. It'll be so much better.

I'm fat too and I know what you mean. You need to be properly fitted and you need a substantial bra, not those lacy little things. Something with scaffolding!

You need to make an appointment to visit Frillies in Penistone then.

She doesn't measure you. She just looks at you with your bra on and brings you different bras to try on. Take a T-shirt or smething close fitting with you so that you can see the outline under your clothes as well.

I absolutely back this up. She’s fab. She will get you fitted well, but make an appt, allow plenty of time (1 hr plus) and don’t expect supermarket prices!

The T-shirt is to put over the bra to check for unslightly lumps and bumps that aren't obvious with just a bra on. You can't always see if you bulge over the top of the bra unless you have put a close fitting T-shirt on over your bra.
