My chest jiggles constantly and it’s a bit embarrassing

ill start this off by saying I’m a bigger lady about 42F , but my cups are still bigger a little left over from breast feeding.

they seem to just jiggle constantly when I’m walking at a normal pace , they are quite full and lots of movement in them which I should probably be grateful for 😁
but people really do have a good stare , men and women alike and I’m a bit worried it’s not only embarrassing for me but my older sons if I’m out an about,

I know this is a ridiculous problem but I’m wondering if anyone else has suffered this in the past?

I don't know what you think a full cup bra is but it's not going to meld into your belly anymore than any other style of bra Confused

I'm a size 20 and wear a 36HH by the way. I favour a plunge style as it suits my shape better, I do have a couple of balconnettes and get the 'jiggle' as you put it. I don't wear low cut tops so much in those.

Moulded bras are the worst btw the way as they're never going to fit properly to your breast tissue, you'll always get a bit of jiggle where the cup is a set shape and your boob isn't.

Try Elomi brand - they're a plus size bra brand and are a godsend. By far the most comfortable. Bravissimo have a couple of styles - the Lucie is nice. They are pricey but worth it.

I’m thinking of the more traditional triumph Doreen style ones that just make large boobs look like wierd sagging triangles,

I have bad memories of them

thanks for the brand suggestions.

I’ve just been buying from like Asda or other stores for years tbh

Try Molke bras OP. They're fantastic for bigger boobs. Check out the Facebook page too for more info on the sizing etc as it's a bit different but works wonders

Everytime someone recommends this brand, I have a look. They are so ugly and I genuinely can't see how they give an attractive shape or any lift without the band being so tight as to be uncomfortable. Ok for lounging about at home I suppose.

I have this at 32D - when I don’t wear a bra. I think you just need to find something that provides you the support you need.

What size clothing do you wear?

ChiefWiggumsBoy · 03/06/2022 14:00

Even a Doreen will give you an uplifted shape in the right size! I used to wear one when wearing vintage stuff. Granted I was a lot slimmer then.

Treat yourself. I have this one which gives a great uplifted shape - it's sexy but actually doesn't show too much even with the straps. I also tried the Matilda and Lydia which were fine, but the Sachi gave the best shape IMO (I have a really short body so need them hoiked high). Tried the Kelsey bralette but it wasn't for me - was a bit minimising and spread to the side.

Definitely go and get fitted first though. I think you're more likely to be a smaller band size than you think.

Yep I would agree with others that you are probably in the wrong bra size! I'm 34GG and have no noticeable jiggling when I'm walking, they stay firmly in place!

I also agree. Im a 34H which is the sister size to 42F and I don’t jiggle.

What dress size are you OP, if you measure 42” around your rib cage?

Notbeinfunnehbut · 03/06/2022 14:05

swedex · 03/06/2022 13:56

What size clothing do you wear?

About 26 roughly

36J here. I'd say you're not wearing the right size bra.

I take an annual trip to bravissimo with my credit card and stock up.
I jiggle if not wearing the right bra.
There are other bra shops out there but bravissimo have served me well over last 20 years. Ring up and make a fitting appointment and they will sort you out. They're not always perfect in what they select for you so it's a bit trial and error. I like my back size one higher than they generally recommend. I'm generally in there for over an hour trying things on until I'm happy.

TulipsGarden · 03/06/2022 14:13

Definitely wrong bra size. You need a nice supportive full cup bra, there shouldn't be any gaping or jiggling. Asda bras are fine if you have two bee-stings, but large breasts need engineering.

SuperSange · 03/06/2022 14:28

Far from being' always one', my chest if larger than yours and doesn't jiggle. My bras fit properly. That's all there is to it really. 🙄

crackersforcrackers · 03/06/2022 14:36

I love a sports bra to keep the girls from bouncing around, they don't have to completely cover either. I'm plus size and got a nice strappy one from Lonsdale that was in a sale in Sports Direct.

WeAllHaveWings · 03/06/2022 14:43

If the middle bit of your bra is not flush with your rib cage, you have over flow (at front or under arms) or alternatively any gape in your cup, or the straps feel heavy on your shoulders, you have the wrong size of bra.

The right size of bra will support your properly.

AnnaMagnani · 03/06/2022 15:01

At a size 26 you might be in the right back size, but it's prob too big, but unless your boobs are tiny, you are in the wrong cup size. Which is why you are jiggly.

LolaJ87 · 03/06/2022 15:09

Yeah you're definitely in the wrong size. I'm a full-figured lady with a sadly un-perky bosom, but they only jiggle if I'm wearing something like a Bralette. Go get measured properly in a store, and buy one expensive bra in the right size just to feel the difference. I did this and own a mix of bras now, some the cheapest of cheap but all fit well enough to be supportive.

Also, sadly sometimes the plainest and least pretty bras give the best lift, support and shape.

dementedpixie · 03/06/2022 17:38

I hate full cup bras as they aren't the right shape for my breasts. Style matters as well as size. I prefer balcony or plunge bras as then I dont have an empty space at the top of my bras.

This is my current fave bra. I have the zebra print one.
Very good support. Very comfortable.

If you measure yourself under the bust and then around the fullest part while wearing a bra, we can help you

Branleuse · 03/06/2022 18:12

I have some asda bras OP and theyre cheap and pretty but not really great support. I also jiggle a lot when i wear them

RaspberryChouxBuns · 03/06/2022 18:16

I'm a 40G, my don't move despite having three kids. You need full cup, well fitted bras - head to Bravissimo.

RaspberryChouxBuns · 03/06/2022 18:16

That should say mine don't move

RaspberryChouxBuns · 03/06/2022 18:18

I'm a size 18/20 btw, are you measurements right?

Oceanus · 03/06/2022 18:48

I used to wear E and F cups. Only three things helped: "minimising" bras, "balconette" bras and bras with underwiring. The thing is my boobs were always huge, regardless of my weight. In the end I got a breast reduction and I've never looked back. The only thing I regret is not having gone for it sooner.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 03/06/2022 18:57

OP, if you are anywhere near Sheffield, I can recommend a superb independent lingerie shop.

Norgie · 03/06/2022 19:16

I have a double cup chest and I just wear a correct fitting supportive bra.
If yours Jiggle about then the fault is with you, not your chest.

Fizbosshoes · 03/06/2022 20:39

Am I the only person who puts my top over the bra I'm trying, and does a bit of jumping around in the fitting room to check for bounce/jiggle? Blush

(and I've got A/B cups)

lurchermummy · 03/06/2022 20:39

Mille are hideous and impossible to get in and out if without breaking an arm.

I'm a size 18/20 and wear a 36HH of 34J depending. I agree that balconettes don't work from a jiggle point of view. I like Freya and I buy them new on eBay, much cheaper. Definitely stop buying supermarket bras. Order a few sizes and try on / it's important that the centre front sits flat on your rib cage.
