Ah, got it. Thank you.

Pedantle automatically does simple plurals but only enters the word once, I think. But in all other regards that game is a bugger compared to redactle.

I solved today's Redactle (#67) in 102 guesses with an accuracy of 62.75%.

Found this one really dull tbh. Even if I have no expertise in alligators, skirts, bed bugs or Roald Dahl I still find those types of subjects (and therefore the guessing) to be more interesting. Horses for courses I suppose.

ThePurpleGirl · 13/06/2022 13:16

Best I've ever done! Took me less than a minute - so much for my attempt at procrastination 😂

Realised v quick what type of thing it was and then needed a quick google as didn't know exactly what the first word would be (and would need to go back to school to find out otherwise)

BIWI · 13/06/2022 16:48

I solved today's Redactle (#67) in 34 guesses with an accuracy of 55.88%. Played at www.redactle.com/

Found what looked like a key phrase and Googled that, which gave me a really big clue - otherwise not an area of any expertise or knowledge.

About time we had something about cooking or literature!

Looking back at the topics since I started (at #15), I think there's been a reasonable spread (given it's from the top 10k 'vital topics'). I'd have said we were a bit light on engineering and very much so on medicine/healthcare.

EnterACloud · 13/06/2022 17:07

You inspired me @InMySpareTime - this must be some kind of miracle

there's been a tonne of physics and chemistry, also some engineering

hardly any music, literature, politics (not sure there's been anything)

rosegoldivy · 13/06/2022 07:21

Please tell me how some of you manage to get it in like 20 guesses 😭😭

Yesterday's had a massive clue (unredacted ups and downs in a table) which if you know a little bit of particle physics helped narrow it down to the right subject area.

Skirt a couple of weeks ago had an A- (A-line) but I completely missed that one

Etinoxaurus · 13/06/2022 18:41

I solved today's Redactle (#68) in 74 guesses with an accuracy of 31.08%. Played at www.redactle.com/

OperationRinka · 13/06/2022 18:43

Got it in 4
would have been 3 except I was on my phone and mistyped my first word!

Happy to explain how I did it tomorrow.

Yesterday I took about 40 - I decided to have a stab at the individual letters because there were so many of them in all the citations at the bottom: that gave me a book title "Q is For ....." and I guessed Quantum and Quark, which lit up the page like a fruit machine, after which it was pretty simple. But if all the ups and downs immediately made you suspect quarks then you'd be quicker than that because I wasted 15 guesses on letters of the alphabet.
