Just that. Is it May 31st or June 1st and is it evening or morning?

I fell asleep at 6.30pm and was torn out of sleep after 7 thinking I'd actually slept until morning. I looked at my calendar and thought 'that can't be right.' Am I going mad or...

Are you okay? It’s Tuesday evening. Sounds like you didn’t sleep for long at all.

Dominuse · 31/05/2022 19:42

Look at your computer or phone. Depends which country you are in but in the U.K. it is 31 st May 202219.42

pussycatlickinglollyices · 31/05/2022 19:42

Still 31st May, nearly quarter to 8 in the evening.

PicniKTime · 31/05/2022 19:42

If you’re online right now surely you could find out in seconds. It’s still May and it’s PM

KindergartenKop · 31/05/2022 19:42

Its 7:45pm on 31st. Couldn't your phone tell you this? You only had a micro nap 😁

I'm not sure @LividLaVidaLoca - I fell asleep for 3 hours last night as well. Totally not normal for me.

Anyway I did check my phone and assumed I'd been sucked into a plot from Back to the Future.

Bloody hell, I was about to get up and showered before an early breakfast. Genuinely feel I've slept a long time.

Its 1999 - and we’re gonna have a big party!!🍾🍾🥂⭐️

Thornrose · 31/05/2022 19:44

Did you fall asleep in the 1980s? We all have the time and date on things called mobile phones now.

😉just kidding.

I thought the phone has made a mistake! I then checked the news channels to confirm the date 😁

I feel out of it. Totally sober I swear!

Maybe you've found the secret to having it all. Have a micro nap at 630pm and then you can party all night and work all day.

janeseymour78 · 31/05/2022 19:47

I was actually woken by a delivery driver and thought 'ffs a bit early is it not' - I told the driver I was asleep and he laughed, I thought is that not normal for coming this early...

Either I'm under the weather or I have insomnia!

janeseymour78 · 31/05/2022 19:48

Anyway I genuinely feel like it's a new day and the fact I lost less than an hour is bizarre. I suppose I can have a productive evening!

Catslovepies · 31/05/2022 19:50

I think you might want to talk to a GP about this if you're serious. It sounds quite odd to me.

LondonQueen · 31/05/2022 19:51

Tuesday 31st May 2022. 19:51. Are you okay?

janeseymour78 · 31/05/2022 19:52

Yes @Catslovepies nothing like this happened before. But then maybe it was just a powerful nap that made me feel I slept longer than I had?

I think the other thing is when I fell asleep it was pouring and grey outside. When I woke, it was really sunny. Which added to feeling like a new day!

Didododo · 31/05/2022 19:53

Are you bored? Lonely? Bless you, this is quite bizarre.

maddiemookins16mum · 31/05/2022 19:58

This is not normal.

ENoeuf · 31/05/2022 20:02

My kids do this sometimes. I've caught them going to get breakfast or getting dressed for school either late afternoon or middle of the night. It's very disorienting if you don't have a nap usually? Maybe you are unwell?

I rarely nap @ENoeuf. The last time I was napping a lot was during covid.

But otherwise I feel fine. I think it was disorientating because I woke feeling so rested and because I fell asleep during a dark rainstorm and woke to a sunny day. It was disorientating.

With that said, im going to go out for a walk while it's still sunny!

Definitely bored. Surely there are so many ways you can check the time in your home Confused

CleverSausages · 31/05/2022 20:12

You say otherwise you feel fine- but you said you fell asleep for 3 hours yesterday evening too when you normally don't

If this happens again you should make a GP appointment

TargusEasting · 31/05/2022 20:22

I would check you blood pressure, oxygen sats, blood sugar and have a bit of an MOT. There is definitely something not right going on if you are disorientated after a short nap. You may be diabetic, for example.

You will have to get the tests booked through a GP, so that’s likely to be around October 2023. Or perhaps drive to your nearest golf course on a sunny morning as there is usually a GP or two there then.

ENoeuf · 31/05/2022 20:25

Ah I would see how you feel after your walk. The kids I think it happens when they are stressed from school (teens) but nothing more. Get checked if it keeps happening or you can't remember going to sleep.

sobeyondthehills · 31/05/2022 20:35

Hi OP

I am under the weather at the moment and have exactly the same as you, I napped yesterday and woke up less than an hour later and panicked that I hadn't got DS to school, it was 8pm and half term.

I am not sure what I have got, but I havent felt this tired since I got covid and now my sleep is all over the place
