We’re going to the funfair on Thursday, beach on Friday, Saturday I’m trying to keep clear to do some work and Sunday we’ve got a local fete 🥳

We are going for 2 nights to Derbyshire (from SE London) and Sunday is just relaxing and doing nothing apart from making sure uniform is sorted out again.

We won't be doing anything Jubilee related at all.

Relaxing, cycling with ds, seeing friends locally, a bit of shopping & gardening. Take DS to the barbers.

Just not rushing anywhere.

We live in Scotland so DS at school on Thursday (has Monday off instead). School are having a jubilee party in which parents are invited, it's also younger DS birthday so birthday tea at home after. Friday depends on the weather, DP will probably drag as out on a family walk somewhere. Saturday have to take DS to a birthday party. Sunday will hopefully be a day of rest, lie in and an afternoon movie. Monday I'll take the kids out to get a magazine and an ice cream - so nothing Jubilee related really!

Mindymomo · 31/05/2022 07:30

Going for a local lake walk Thursday with adult DS and then pub lunch. Nothing planned for Friday. Maybe a meal out Saturday and cinema Sunday. My other DS is working as he has been offered overtime at time and a half for 2 days.

There are lots of things going on where I live - lighting of beacons on Thursday, a town fair on Friday & a procession on Sunday so I'm going to them as they're free entertainment.
Other than that, it's meeting friends for non-Jubilee BBQ on Friday night & going to the theatre on Saturday night.
A busy bank holiday weekend making the most of the time off!

Another Scot with a jubilee party at school on Thursday. Friday off. Saturday spending all my wages in new glasses 😭, Sunday beach, Monday work.

I’m abroad - working Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Saturday I’m helping out at church and meeting some friends. No ideas here either I’m afraid.

We're away for half term, so have only had to take three days off work to get the week off.

Lots of bunting where we are - so pretty. And then we'll be back home at the weekend for our street party. I'm making coronation chicken.

Swayingpalmtrees · 31/05/2022 07:51

Have a wonderful wedding Imin!!

We will be on holiday near the sea, so plan to swim in the sea, exercise the dogs along the coastal walks, afternoon tea booked and relaxing! Teens are revising so I intend to make the most of the extra time off.

OnceuponaRainbow18 · 31/05/2022 07:52

I’ve got scarily no plans… 3&5 year old and on my own all half term, al feeling quite under the weather as well 🙄

Marking GCSE exam papers

I'm going to watch the fly past on telly Thurs and then wander down for a look at the beacon lighting in the evening.

On Friday we're having a bring your own picnic at a club I go to every Friday.
Saturday is a family birthday so we'll all have a lovely squabble over the bbq.
Quiet Sunday, all ignoring each other after the squabbles of the previous day.

jay55 · 31/05/2022 08:20

Giving my flat a deep clean and big rearrange.

Street party on Saturday.

ohnoohnoo · 31/05/2022 08:24

We've got plans with friends Thursday, Friday we are going to a jubilee party with family in the local village hall. Saturday my in-laws are doing a jubilee party at their house (mainly for DCs 3 & 5) and we're staying over so we can watch the big concert that night. Then Sunday will just be normal back to school/work prep

Congratulations!

Nothing jubilee related here. RHS garden on the Thursday, exhibition on the Saturday. I've told the DC that as a republican I'd rather celebrate Bastille Day, and they've latched on to that idea, so will be having a French themed party next month instead.

Beachsidesunset · 31/05/2022 08:29

Packing for a house move. 3 children, 2 dogs, 8 months pregnant and a 300 mile drive. Hit it!

StageRage · 31/05/2022 08:36

Going to a remote isolated location for walking!

KateMcCallister · 31/05/2022 09:45

Working.

I've no interest in the whole thing though, so doesn't make much odds to me.
