Not really doing anything Jubilee related
Thursday - Visiting DS at university.
Friday - Big house clean and in the evening DSS and his fiancée are coming for a takeaway.
Saturday - Friends daughter is 21 so helping her with a house party or BBQ if the weather holds.
Sunday - No plans just having a relaxed day. Locally there are events planned but if the weather forecast is accurate then it is probably going to put a dampener on most of them.

Meant to be going abroad but I’m ill so am about to cancel.

I have lost SO many things I wanted to do due to being unwell over the past 18months.

SpikyHatePotato · 31/05/2022 10:16

Working

vodkaredbullgirl · 31/05/2022 10:19

Working night shifts.

NottaLottoWinner · 31/05/2022 10:20

Working.

80sMum · 31/05/2022 10:21

I have nothing planned other than housework and gardening. Might go out for a walk if the weather permits.

gingercat02 · 31/05/2022 10:23

Thursday looks like the best day weather wise here. So probably beach then (I'm going to see Top Gun in the evening)

Friday likely hiding away from the Jubilee bollocks

Saturday walk in country park or NT type place. Burgers from our favourite local place and the last Stranger Things

Sunday vegeing around and dinner out as is tradition for the last day of any school holiday

Nothing Jubilee related at all. My mum will do enough of that for all of us 😁

Oatsamazing · 31/05/2022 10:25

Working Thurs, Fri and Sunday and off to a party on Saturday with my 19mo DD

Apparently I'm taking dd13 clothes shopping in Edinburgh on Friday. Will NOT be fun I imagine. I suspect there will be wine involved in the evening. Otherwise, nothing. Don't think there's anything happening here.

User487216 · 31/05/2022 10:28

DH is marshalling an event in the Peak District and staying there to do some walking so I shall have a peaceful weekend, and hope to get some yummy food in from M&S, I will watch bits of the Jubilee on TV, mainly to see what people are wearing.

Pugdogmom · 31/05/2022 10:33

Thursday...cleaning out my spare room etc for inspection by Council for Homes for Ukraine scheme .
If weather nice , we will go for a drive somewhere and get lunch at some point over weekend.
Nothing Jubilee related at all.

caringcarer · 31/05/2022 10:43

Foster son has GCSE exams when back to school do as a family we can't go away this year. Having BBQ in garden on Friday. Putting bunting up and have Union Jack serviettes and paper plates and red, white and blue balloons. Going to cricket on Saturday to watch FS play. That will be about 6 hours. Pub meal on Sunday. Taking it easy on the Wednesday as DH taking day off work, maybe pub lunch somewhere.

dontgobaconmyheart · 31/05/2022 10:47

I think DP is working all of it, I'll be at home doing a bit of gardening and some reading while looking after our puppy, no doubt caught between adoring him and wondering why on earth I got one 😉.

Neither of us are overly interested in the jubilee and DP generally works the BH regardless of the occasion so not any particular change of routine for us. Hope those with Jubilee specific plans have a lovely time though, fingers crossed for sunshine.

BearSoFair · 31/05/2022 10:53

Working. More hours than I usually would over those days! But it's time and a half pay and we wouldn't be doing much anyway so can't complain.

WhatHaveIFound · 31/05/2022 10:59

Working Thursday & Friday, then relaxing the rest of the weekend. Will probably involve cycling, walking and eating non Jubilee themed food!

MsMiaWallace · 31/05/2022 11:02

Working thurs/ Friday birthday/ sat working/ sun working

longtompot · 31/05/2022 11:10

Not celebrating as we had a recent death in the family, but will be having an immediate family afternoon tea on the Saturday and a quiet bbq on the Sunday. Thursday and Friday probably gardening

FrownedUpon · 31/05/2022 11:11

Jubilee BBQ Thursday & going to watch the beacon being lit. Hiking Friday. Local jubilee fete on Saturday. Day at home relaxing on Sunday.

TenoringBehind · 31/05/2022 11:37

It’s all about the Jubilee here. I’m in a village that has gone Jubilee crazy.

Thursday: making a Jubilee flower arrangement for a local display. Bellringing.
Friday: bellringing, watching the Jubilee service with friends, pizza and drinks
Saturday: bellringing, visiting village Jubilee exhibition, Jubilee church service, out for dinner in the Eve ing
Sunday: yet more bellringing, Jubilee big lunch

bloodyunicorns · 31/05/2022 12:43

Going to town fireworks and Beacon lighting Thursday. Family day out Friday. Watching some jubilee pageant stuff Saturday and parkrun. Sunday, washing and sorting stuff out for school on Monday! And chilling out.

namechangeanonymous · 31/05/2022 13:09

Currently in the third trimester zero energy with a back to back baby so I won't be doing much at all.
Think I might go get some nice food treats in tomorrow ready for the long weekend.
I'm not a royalist but I do love the pomp and ceremony so I'll have bits on the TV in between catching up on other bits.

blobby10 · 31/05/2022 13:18

Thursday: watching the Trooping of the Colour and parade cos I love British pomp and pageantry.

Friday: Probably watching bits of the televised service at St Paul (same reason as above) before tackling some housework.
Saturday : packing trailer tent for holiday in a couple of weeks with everything we need except clothes which will go in the car the night before
Sunday: Dont know yet.

Amongst that will be assorted cycling, washing & drying of laundry, gardening, bed changing, window cleaning and other thrilling tasks!

ifonly4 · 31/05/2022 14:00

DH on call all weekend so can't really plan or go too far. I have some old bunting which is up in garden and have some simple meals planned we'll enjoy, hopefully outside. I'd like to watch the Derby and concert. I'm working Sunday, but neighbours told us last night they'll start street party off at 5pm so I can be there for most of it. Fun things going on at our local pub, but DH won't be able to drink so will give those a miss

2bazookas · 31/05/2022 14:14

I'll be spending some time at my allotment. Attending a 60th birthday party.
Walking some rescue dogs to give them a break from kennels. Seeing the grandkids. A bit of work on the furniture I'm upcycling.
