Pedantle: new online word game!

Anyone found this yet? It started today as an offshoot of Cemantle.

It's like Redactle in that you have to guess the words of (part) of a Wiki entry, but unlike Redactle (which displays the whole text once you have guessed the title) Pedantle lets you carry on guessing individual words after you've guessed the title, so you can 'play' for longer. Then you can click the reveal text button to see the whole entry.

It's on US time (west coast) and a new game starts at either 7pm or 8pm BST.

Am totally stuck. Don't even have enough to Google!

It's such a short paragraph, nothing to work with. All I've got so far is "space" lol

I don't think you will get it without serious googling ~ unless you are a mathematician maybe.

Well I got it with help from Google, I really think today's is too specific and hard for only the third game. It's been over 25 years since I studied any mathematics and I've never heard of the answer.

I'm at 420 and not getting very far. Google isn't helping . Can anyone pm me a hint please?

@Ricardothesnowman it's not very hintable as it's so obscure. Have you got most of the first sentence? If you do, look on Wikipedia for the first word and dig around in those articles for the answer.

Nope, not got the 1st word. I have something in that box but it's not right, is a mid grey colour.

Yes - it's probably a random choice but the creators of the game ought to manually check - some wiki topics might be inappropriate, apart from difficulty.

Today it's a specific concept within a branch of maths which itself afaik doesn't come up at school. I'd guess that if people have come across the name of that branch it would have been in another subject and it wouldn't be obvious that it was a mathsy thing.

@Ricardothesnowman you'll never get it without the first word, concentrate on finding that.

I don't think the first word alone will help much, it's just one of the little common words which I think you get 'for free' in redactle. You need to find the second word at least to have a hope of getting the topic.
