How was your friday 13th?

Couldnt see a thread already so apologies if I missed one.

I had a good day except for 2 bits:

  1. The parents of the children in my DS class were all sent a very belittling email from the principal of the school. 😡
  1. I had been covering for my manager all week and had been doing really well. Attended all calls with the other managers and no issues. Today very senior manager joined the call. My phone cut out in the middle of the call. I re-joined and toward the end got cut off again. That time my phone played hold music to everyone in the call so senior manager and all the other managers probably think I put them on hold to take another call 😵

How was your day?

Started a bit slow for work but then things picked up in the later afternoon. Got quite a lot of laundry done. No bad luck - yet!

I’ve just had a lovely maple bacon donut. But I’ve realised I bought a box of 6 donuts, intending 2 each, but there are 4 of us. Nice one.

also food related, felt like some peanuts, went to the pantry and someone thought they just leave a tablespoon worth in the packet. Why?!

and now I shall have to cook dinner. Not winning on the food front today

I've had a good day. Cleaned, made a very nice cabbage and lentil daal, walked the dog. I didn't even realise it was the 13th until I saw this.

A mostly good day apart from...

  1. I had 27 things on my to do list today and only managed to do half of them.
  2. Got a text to say that I have to book DS in for blood tests.

It started rubbish, my baby woke up several times in the night, I started my period in the night so leaked onto my fave pjs, then I scraped my hand on a sharp bit on the wheelie bin when emptying the babys nappy bin which really hurt

But I have spent the afternoon playing with my son, drinking tea & eating pizza so now I feel better 😅🍕

Rubbish took my poor cat to the vet this morning, who has already been twice with abcess in last 2 weeks.He ended up having small op,so I was worried all day and it cost me another £500.

Haha we would probably end up halving the doughnuts and having one and a half each!

The ups and downs of parenting. One minute you are tired, sad and sleep deprived and the next you are playing games and smiling at their innocence.

My 2yo was particularly bad at bed time tonight but seems to have gone off to sleep now. One down, one to go!

Morning definitely wasn't great (I had a thread about this earlier). Thought back was better so didn't taken painkillers, I've since paid for that. Confusion over dental appointment time, so I was 5 mins late and they wouldn't see me. Realised I paid more than I thought it'd be for something. Had coffee and cake and cutlery was filthy but queue so long and compacted it wasn't worth asking at the counter for more. Stopped off at garden centre to buy a present to find something they'd stocked for years, they no longer do. Went to work, I was trying to be helpful but dropped a container of soapy water on the floor - work know I've got a bad back so just told me to walk and they'd deal with it. DH kindly made tea tonight but even he says he's put too much chilli in it.

Most of this happened this morning so I was pretty fed up, but compared to what others are going through right now, I'm lucky.

Shit my cat decided he is ill he really isn't I don't think because he is drinking and able to pee fine he is just licking his penis and withholding his pee so I've given him metacam and told him to stop being silly the vet said its stress cystitis but he had a great few days no stress no fuss today of all days he choses violence he is currently on my lap purring his arse off

I've got awful toothache and dps bike has broken down so I'm on my own with dds (had been counting down the minutes til he was back and I could hand him the baby!) and he's stuck on a dual carriageway waiting for recovery truck 🙈
