How was your friday 13th?

Couldnt see a thread already so apologies if I missed one.

I had a good day except for 2 bits:

1. The parents of the children in my DS class were all sent a very belittling email from the principal of the school. 😡

1. I had been covering for my manager all week and had been doing really well. Attended all calls with the other managers and no issues. Today very senior manager joined the call. My phone cut out in the middle of the call. I re-joined and toward the end got cut off again. That time my phone played hold music to everyone in the call so senior manager and all the other managers probably think I put them on hold to take another call 😵

How was your day?

Quite nice. Spent most of the day in the Botanical Gardens/ gardening at home. Took dd out for a lovely meal.

Really wasn't expecting to read about cat penises when I clicked on this thread 😳

Boring morning doing laundry but this afternoon decided to go to hospital to get checked out - 6 months pregnant and was concerned about reduced movements. Was checked on quickly by doctors - baby is fine but was kicking into the placenta which is at the back, hence I couldn't feel much (if anything). As soon as the consultant started the scan, he flipped round and started booting me. I'm relieved to feel him moving again now!

Toddler went to bed tonight without incident. To be fair we traumatised her by leaving her with a close friend on the way to the hospital. She started wailing as we handed her over which she has never done before despite having been looked after said friend twice before. She clung to me like a baby koala and I had serious mum guilt having to peel her off me to get her baby brother checked over!

DP been particularly helpful today and even folded two loads of clean dry laundry whilst cooking me a pizza for a very late dinner. Consequently I fell asleep on the sofa as soon as I'd eaten and have just woken up for bed.

Hope those of you who've had shitty days have brilliant weekends and wishing those unwell back to health ASAP.

Mine went freakily well as DP admitted he was wrong about something 😂 I even commented about Friday 13th at the time. When he did it a second time, I think you probably felt the world stop turning!

A spectacularly bad day here.

I managed to oversleep by an hour despite having set the alarm. Was late getting DC2 to school and as a result he was stressed and carsick en route. Then, as I was cleaning out the (previously pristine, 1 day old) car, I was copiously shat on by a pigeon perched on a branch above. Received worrying news about a young family member who has been taken very ill just before her university finals. Then even worse news about an elderly family member who had had a heart attack and died.

I am not normally superstitious about Friday 13th, but I might be in future.

Awful. I probably caught a bug from my son, started feeling off around midday so went back home. I don't live far but didn't make it home before I threw up. Twice. In the space of one block. Felt sick the rest of the day and trying to heave on an empty stomach really sucks. I ended up not eating anything since thursday night.

Sorry, needed a moan, but my children (am a single parent so had to handle daily routine despite feeling awful) are wonderful and were very nice to me. They kissed and cuddled and gave me pretend medicine. So my day sucked but I'm grateful everyday nonetheless for my wonderful sons.

I had a funeral

I went on a daytime-evening date and drank far too much wine, but thankfully saved it from being complete carnage by swapping to soft drinks. Hangover still present and date from yesterday wants to see each other again today (well, he said that whilst drunk so who knows). Got a decent kiss out of it though.
