The great "who-dunnit"! Whose side are you on and why?

OP posts:
Thankyoupeter · 13/05/2022 20:14

Thanks @PortiaFimbriata and others that answered my question. Very interesting and yes, I see what you mean about how the replies on social media haven't help CR.

MichaelAndEagle · 13/05/2022 20:24

I'm interested to find out what Vardy's sides cross examination of Coleen is going to focus on.

Not sure if its been mentioned but I'm listening to this Wagatha Christie podcast www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0c6khg1

Another here for Team Rooney. And as another Poster said, I think it’s telling RV’s other half isn’t there to support her.
Don’t think she has done herself any favours whatsoever.

In fairness I think JV is still training. But he couldn't possibly be happy with how things have played out. And worst of it is she'd have been well warned - repeatedly - about how this would play.

I think of the decision goes against CR, which it very well might, other WAGs should chip in with her fees. Because she has done everyone a massive favour for exposing Vardy for what she is.
Must be awfully to have your private life leaked to the media. RV is just awful.

Her defence is laughable....i said I wanted paying but I obviously didn't MEAN it!
As is said on the other thread....the lost messages must be awful if what she is presenting is supported to help her.

And I hope the judge makes some sort of point about all the lost evidence. I can't believe this case ran with those excuses and it just sets a very bad tone to me if she wins.

God so many typos. Hopefully you can make it out!

In the interests of fairness, Leicester still have three games of their season left to play, so Jamie Vardy will be committed and focussed for that, whereas Wayne Rooney's Derby have finished their season already.

I guess as a spouse you'd want to be seen to be being supportive, but to be honest, I really wouldn't want the publicity of being associated with RV's side of this case.

Ringmaster27 · 14/05/2022 08:14

Also saw yesterday that Harry McGuire’s fiancé (Fearne someone?) was furious when she found out that RV got all the WAGs together at the Euros for a staged paparazzi picture. Seems like she’s had plenty of practice manipulating everything and everyone around her in order to gain a few column inches 😬

SisterAgatha · 13/05/2022 08:03

I think she thought Coleen would drop it out of fear more might come out about Wayne. This is why I would be quite gleeful for her to win, Vardy has used Coleens every weakness for money.

yeh, I think she wanted to outrank CR, who is probably fairly well respected in the wag world. She is a ''mean girl'' and boy has she shown that to the World.

Team Peter Andre.

poor bloke getting dragged into this

Couldn’t agree more.

He’s an honest decent person (also kept seeing his name come up on the thread about celebrities recently and seems everyone who had an encounter with him said it was a positive one). I really do think it’s horrible how she spoke about him. Nobody deserves that

Resilience9to5 · 14/05/2022 08:47

I think the posters who dismiss them both as spoilt children miss that human nature is the driving force behind all of this. Money doesn't change that.

Desire for privacy, the shock of betrayal, those feelings are fundamental and common to all whether they earned their money discovering a cure for the common cold or through their range of clothing.

Privacy, betrayal, justice versus injustice, ego versus acceptance.....

It could just as easily be two academics arguing about whose name went first on a paper or who two song writers claim one stole the other's idea.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 14/05/2022 09:25

Couldn’t give a toss. But it’s just occurred to me that a tax on vacuous so-called ‘celebs’, who have vast amounts of cash to waste in lawyers’ fees for such cases, would be a resoundingly good idea.

PortiaFimbriata · 14/05/2022 11:17

It's good Keynesian stuff - keeps the wheels of the economy turning and keeps us entertained without being depressingly grim.

Radyward · 14/05/2022 12:08

Whats with the Vardy power dressing ? Like its so tongue in cheek. Is she doing it to look in control/ powerful. Become a style icon .like why. The cost of them makes her far far removed from ordinary folk and makes her someone who people cant identify with. Losing public support just by exiting her car.i mean it looks terrible no one with her! Like where is her mother even / best friend. The tears come across as manipulative. Colleen has been strong in the witness box it seems . No such thing as bad publicity. If she wins she wil be poor victim me all over the press.if she loses, she will be a pariah BUT the court case drove me to the edge headlines etc etc etc. Colleen Rooney is coming across wel. We shall see. If Vardy wins anything over 1 penny is more than enough in damages

Pedallleur · 14/05/2022 13:54

The case that Vardy insisted on bringing to Court is blowing up in her face. Photo ops, manipulation, deals with the press etc. It's really an expensive nothing case but in terms of her image if she thinks she one then the publicity is ruining it. Live/die by Social Media.

Lndnmummy · 14/05/2022 14:36

She comes across terribly, much much worse than I could have imagined. Surely no one believes this "woe is me act" that she brought on herself? Destroying evidence is a crime as is lying under oath. It is despicable behaviour. Worst of all is how she has thrown that friend/manager of hers under the bus. How evil. The language that she is using about people as well is mind blowing, she is a mother of 4-5 and in her 30s. It is utterly pathetic. Why did no one tell her this was a terrible, terrible idea?

Lndnmummy · 14/05/2022 14:49

I understand Coleen must prove RV is the leak. But how can she do that if RV and her agent has "lost" the proof?

MichaelAndEagle · 14/05/2022 15:00

Is there some sort of rule that means they can't ask The Sun?

LadyEloise1 · 14/05/2022 15:21

I wondered that too @MichaelAndEagle
It would save a lot of time and money.

Exactly. CR is totally prejudiced imo. Seems farcical.

MichaelAndEagle · 14/05/2022 15:00

My guess would be that they don't reveal their sources.
And it's a civil trial so they don't have to.

SpindleWick · 14/05/2022 15:38

The Sun is claiming journalistic privilege and that it cannot disclose its sources. Only a judge can make an order to force them to do that, I think? And even then they can they refuse/appeal. A free press is a cornerstone of democracy.

But it doesn't seem right that Vardy can 'lose' so much evidence. I hope the judge isn't impressed.

You could start here twitter.com/MarianKeyes/status/1524353158817984512

and then click on her account name and peruse the whole timeline, seems to contain quite a bit of Eurovision in the later parts.

TheFairyCaravan · 13/05/2022 06:10

RV is a nasty piece of work. I wouldn't be surprised if JV divorced her after this, although the stories she'd sell on him would be horrendous no doubt.

She's proved herself to be a complete liar. She's untrustworthy and a sneak. I'm glad I'm not one of her friends, you'd nevet know when your private business was going to end up on the front page of the Sun.

I think he needs to divorce her after this. It's a horrible thing to happen because kids are involved. But this is the only way he could be trusted in his football circle again.
It would also mean he could potentially reconcile with his parents.
