It's my birthday soon. I would like to go out for lunch in London.

Has anyone been anywhere recently that they would recommend? As it's my birthday happy to pay a bit more. Has to be able to cater for coeliacs. There will be 3 of us. Ikoyi looks nice but not open at lunch on my birthday (a Wednesday)

Love all cuisines except Chinese.

Thanks in advance.

Alto by San carlo roof top restaurant at selfridges.
I've been for drinks and dinner in a summer evening and was like being abroad

Bob Bob Ricard Soho - not sure if they cater for Coeliacs though

tedgran · 07/05/2022 18:54

Had a lovely meal at Sal e Pepe, Pavilion Road Knightsbridge for our wedding anniversary on Tuesday. Very good Italian, not cheap but worth it.

Thank you but we can't risk it. Don't want Dd to be ill.

I would go to the brasserie at the Sky Garden or Duck & Waffle. Surely a quick google will tell you if any of these restaurants cater for coeliacs?

A580Hojas · 07/05/2022 19:14

Or - of course - the Savoy Hotel.

walkersareback · 07/05/2022 19:25

@tedgran
Sal E Pepe looks lovely- I am going to email them re coeliacs

Haven't been to The Savoy for about 25 years. Last went pre- DD when I worked in London.

Bob Bob Ricard as @LadyJGrey suggested is amazing fun, no under 16s though . We went to 10 Greek Street recently and thought the food delicious but not at all fancy. Everywhere we’ve eaten recently has checked our allergies once we’ve ordered. They know the risk they take if they mess these things up.
