@BigFatLiar

There was a clip which purports to show her practising her crying and breaking down prior to her testimony.

Clips showing her 'practicing her crying and breaking down'? Can you share links please?

I’m sure this would be front page news if it was true, I’m more than a little dubious about this claim.

Yes I definitely suggest everyone reads the judge ruling in the official court document and see if u feel he was a fair and balanced judge!

www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/Judgment-FINAL.pdf&ved=2ahUKEwjEmITloM33AhXUbsAKHQX-DDEQFnoECAkQAQ&usg=AOvVaw0lRotcsL4_4EEUOB2iaqK8

I have read this and I can’t see any problems - unless you are at an equal or higher level than a judge I can’t imagine you have a professional opinion that is valid regarding this judgement either.

Butitsnotfunnyisititsserious · 07/05/2022 12:27

People shouldn't instantly believe AH because she is a woman. Yes some men abuse women but some women abuse men and female abusers are the ones who are letting women down. They are the ones causing the doubt.
Saying 'women can be' isn't the same as saying 'all women are'. Saying women can be like this is the truth, saying men can be abusers is the truth. Its not all men and its not all women.

Its very telling that, despite the fact that men are the biggest abuser by a country mile, it’s abusive women who are ‘letting women down and causing doubt.”

Logic would dictate that you doubt JD because of all those male abuser letting men down and causing doubt.

I really do wish people would just admit their bar is far lower for men than it is for women.

I've noticed this style of commenting in last thread, the ' if ur not a judge or law professional u have no right to suggest otherwise '
I don't have to be a law professional to form an opnion on what a judge says in a document, nor do u or anyone else , its a ridiculous argument!

Yes because the men let men down. Both sides let the sexes down. Anyone who is an abuser, whether male or female is a nasty person. I wouldn't look at either of them highly, no matter the sex.

Jesus wept

FYI - stupid people can post YouTube videos. It doesn’t mean they’re right.

That is probably the most nit picking pathetic claim I’ve seen so far from this trial. The women was wiping her face and a camera took a picture.

When JD was giggling those many times and doodling was that posing or was that just because he’s such a funny cool down to Earth guy. And on that note I’m going to do what people have done to AH this whole time and say - what kind of victim, when hearing what they went through with their abuser in the room, doodles and giggles? Not very convincing victim behaviour is it? (See how it works)

I actually mentioned already that he has adhd , I have adhd and I used to get in quite bad trouble at school for laughing inappropriately quite a lot especially when I was uncomfortable and awkward moments so im not surpised he is, also doddling is something people with adhd people do as form of stimming or to calm when anxious so again not surprised
A petty video would be of the amber heard snoring maybe something, during her time on the stand. I'm not posting that because I have no idea if it's true and I agree its not 100% . Posing for photo definitely looks more realistic.

Exactly @Newrunner29. If you have to be a judge or law professional to form an opinion, why then do most democratic countries use members of the public - from all walks of life/ages/professions - to sit on juries?

But someone claimed there are videos of her 'practicing crying and breaking down' taken before the trial.

So where are those?

@BigFatLiar referenced them so should be able to provide links.

QuotetheLaw · 07/05/2022 13:12

@JohnPrescottsPyjamas At university we have to regularly dissect cases and have a reasoned opinion on whether we agree or disagree with the judgment. Judges don't always get it right as the multiple case law shows when other judges overturn prior rulings.

Newrunner29 · 07/05/2022 13:25

The judge Justise Nicol who was judge on depp heard case , wrongfully convicted a doctor David sellu to 15 months imprisonment for gross negligence manslaughter and he appealed and won, so judges can make mistakes , he retired after depp amber trial.

@Newrunner29 you can have an opinion on whatever you like but it doesn’t mean your opinion is valid. And it’s certainly not valid about the professional conduct of a field and level you know nothing about.

Yet it your first post you said that women let other women down and mentioned nothing about men.

Have you ever doubted JD’s story of being abused because so many men ARE abusers?

Thank u again for the condescending comment , I'll now remember to make sure i never form an opnion about something, because it's not valid, that I'm not professionally involved with! 😁

PlasticineMeg · 07/05/2022 13:38

Well there would be an excuse for the man wouldn’t there. It still doesn’t smack of a man terrified of his abuser. He has an excuse for doodling but AH has the audacity to wear clothes therefore she’s a lying cow who is letting other women down.

I of course don’t think that JD should or should not behave a certain way, because there is no way a victim ‘should’ behave - it’s a shame people don’t subscribe to that belief when it comes to women though. I’m just pointing out the double standard.

Oh I’m sorry we’re you under a misapprehension that all your opinions about everything are completely valid? No matter your complete lack of expertise on many subjects? That’s quite arrogant!

PlasticineMeg · 07/05/2022 13:42

why then do most democratic countries use members of the public - from all walks of life/ages/professions - to sit on juries?

Going wildly off topic but there are many, many glaring and damaging problems with a jury service - and very good arguments as to why juries should be abolished, namely due to the fact that it’s impossible for human being to not show a little bias. Google Julie Biden’s view on juries being abolished on sex crime trials and how it is believed that biased jurors contribute to low conviction rates.

but even so, jurors get training and breaking and given an undertaking of the law and their role. That’s very different to someone with no idea of how civil cases work deciding a judge is ‘unfair’ (with no reasoning or explanation as to why they have behaved unfairly)

What would you use instead of a jury?

Newrunner29 · 07/05/2022 13:58

I haven't been specific because I haven't read whole document myself I found I think 3 things which I found strange. The judge dismissing 2 people witnessing amber throw up in car park one of them her driver and said reason was because he must have mistaken her for her sister?!and then further down says he discount another witness because she lied and said amber had eating disorder because she doesn't ( however on the nurses notes she says she did) and another time just saying johnny abused amber because he said he just had Marijuana but other times he says he had cocaine and drink so he must have done that then!? It just sounds off.

And another reason I remember ur comments from other thread and u were condescending then and to be honest i really couldn't be bother so I suggested everyone else read it and come to their own opnion.

OnlyHippyInTheVillage · 07/05/2022 13:59

Look at him??
So it's not ok to say she looks ugly. But it's fine to say look at him he looks abusive and creepy.
Double standards but ok.

OnlyHippyInTheVillage · 07/05/2022 14:18

Here is the FULL video.
She sold the link you shared, to TMZ in 2016. She wanted everyone to think she was harmed after he snatched the phone. The Sun lawyers played it countless times in the UK trial.
Johnny's lawyers played this full clip in his closing statement in the UK.
This version is extremely interesting. Its not a wonder why those last few seconds were edited out. I really like the "hehe" from her along with a completely uninjured face, as he leaves the room like he always did.

PlasticineMeg · 07/05/2022 15:18

@MarshaBradyo there are many, many options that other countries use successfully, such as a ruling from a judge
