What's your go to meal/food when you're feeling ill?

Assuming you're well enough to eat however!
Been feeling awful today with a headache , aching and bunged up.
My go when I'm always ill is two slices of granary or seeded bread, butter, marmite and two boiled eggs cut up and placed on top.
Always makes me feel a little better.
What's everyone else's?

Chicken soup with a mashed potato island.

@2MinuteRice you need one of those egg boiler things off Amazon. I have one and it makes eggs perfect every time, I'm useless at soft boiled eggs in pan.

flu like illness I like boil in the bag cod in butter sauce, buttery mash and peas.

You can get them in the pound shop too

I’ve had mine for about four years they are brilliant

I like Heinz tomato soup with a crusty roll (those ones that are dangerous to eat as shards can pierce through your gums) this is on the road the recovery food

hot ribena for me I often go off tea (tea in my normal health is my favourite drink)

A couple of the meals some have posted on here when your not well are incredible and so much better than what I cook normally, can I move in 😆

Mine like most posters on here is Heinz tomato soup ( I add salt to mine) and white buttered bread, I may mix it up if the illness carries on and have oxtail thrown into the mix 😉

What I always want is a nice bowl of tonkotsu ramen - however the nearest place I can get a good one is 15 miles away and they don't do takeaways so I settle for marmite on toast or scrambled eggs on toast.

Macaroni cheese
Chicken breast, mash and gravy
Cod, mash and parsley sauce

SunshineLollipopsAndRainbows · 04/05/2022 12:43

Heinz tomato soup with thickly buttered bread always hits the spot.

CheeseBoard2022 · 04/05/2022 12:50

Beans on toast with cheese.

Gymnopedie · 04/05/2022 12:53

Peanut butter on toast (with a lot of butter too) or Heinz beans and sausages on toast (ditto).
