Good morning Mumsnet! What are you all up to today?

I'm just enjoying my first cuppa, listening to the birds & watching them flit about through my kitchen window.

The washer's on & there are a few pots to do but other than that, the house is mainly clean and tidy. The downstairs floors could do with mopping but that's a job for tomorrow.

We're off into town I think - I was going to nip in on my own, just to find a top to wear to The Killers next month, but dd1 jumped on the suggestion so looks like I have company 🙄🤣 I expect we'll end up with some sort of exotic fruit, from the market.

When we get back, I'd like an hour or so sorting my Rainbows and Guides planning; the space it's kept in is a little messy, there are some activities I'd like to file and keep, and some resources I'd like to create for this week coming.

Later on I'll do a little more of my crochet life cycle & then start on my new book, with a glass of wine.

I have no idea what's for tea yet 🤷‍♀️

Mowing the lawn and cutting the hedges this morning.

Then off with little niece to swimming pool.

After that, probably go for a walk to see the lambs.

Morning! I'm just having a lie in, it's been a busy week. The plan is to get up, go for a swim and then go shopping in the local market for veggies, milk (jersey cow milk no less!) and swanky bread for lunch.
This afternoon I'll go for a walk and then probably do a bit of cleaning and tidying and then sort dinner (I'm hoping for dinner inspiration at the market). Then get DC to bed, open the wine and watch a film. I love Saturdays

A trip to Sainsbury’s this morning and then meeting some friends for lunch. I refuse to cook on Saturdays so tea will be something very easy...tapas stuff, nice cheese and crusty bread.
I’m currently enjoying the peace in my house too. Dh is away for a few days, ds has gone to his part time job and dd is still in bed.

I'm having a coffee then off to the hairdressers to get my hair cut this morning. We're all getting our eyes tested at the optitions later. I can hear dh in the living room with my youngest dc, they are watching some sort of 'freeze dance with a cowboy in' on youtube. Eldest dc stayed up past bedtime last night so is still in bed having a lie in. Lovely Saturday morning with the bank holiday weekend stretching out ahead of us.

DH is about to head to work, I have DD(13), DD(17) and her GF all fast asleep and probably won't see them until after lunchtime!

Will attempt to make a low carb healthy breakfast soon with eggs, spinach, mushrooms and avocado.

Hoping the eldest will give me a wheel to the shop later so I can get some sunshine!

Currently browsing TKMaxx for a few nice things.

I got my first stitch fix yesterday after getting sick and tired of living in cheap leggings and loungewear and I got a few really lovely bits so I am officially giving up cheap fast fashion and just going to find a few nice pieces in my new style instead! I can't stand unaided so it can be difficult to find clothes that I can manage getting on and off.

Quiet in the Volturi house at the moment, both ds are still asleep. I'm sat with dd and ddog having lovely cuddles and a coffee. Just back from hols so got lots of unpacking to do today as well as the grass to cut later. Will be having a stroll at some point this afternoon. Tea is going to be chicken curry and rice!

We’re having a slow morning today as it’s been a hectic week. I’m currently cuddling baby dc and drinking tea. Although hoping Dh will mow the lawn at some point this morning. Then the older DC have birthday parties this afternoon which we’ll wander into town for. There’s a market on which I’ll hopefully catch then end off whilst dc are at the birthday parties (planning to drop and run!). No idea what we’ll have for dinner, need to do a food shop! Maybe I’ll pick something up at the market.

Just finished breakfast, DC are on screens. Need to do some tidying and cleaning because we have friends over for dinner, but no cooking because we are ordering pizza. I think I will take the DC into town for Lego club at the library and leave DH to do the cleaning. There are also some lettuce seeds that ought to be planted, and the grass needs mowing.

I’m currently sitting in bed with a cuppa and the cat. Should be reading my book club book but I’m on here instead!
big ds is at work and small ds is doing his paper round so it’s peaceful except the cat purring away!
I have a million and one jobs to do all around the house, a colleague inspired me with her story of a top to bottom de clutter and clean last week but I’m lacking motivation. Also desperately need to cut cut the grass in the front and back gardens.
Im meeting my mum later for a catch up as she’s been away.
oh and I really need to dye my hair too! Sooooo much grey……
dinner tonight will be duck breasts that I got from the farmers market last week.

Been up since 6. Living room cleaned, lunchbox made and backpack ready. Im going up a mountain and I won’t be home till 8pm.

DC are watching their tablets and eating breakfast on the sofa. Standards are low on a Saturday. I'm just waiting for DH to finish getting washed and then it's my turn, currently sitting on my bed in my dressing gown.

DD8 is back to swimming lessons today after Easter. DS3 has chickenpox so he has to stay at home with DH while I take her. After that we'll have to go out in the garden because DS is going stir crazy (day 5 of isolation). Hoping the weather doesn't turn before then!

DD and I are hanging out this morning, mega clean yesterday so house sparkling. Family round for dinner later

Not much here. DH is out all day. The Dcs are gaming. I will get fish and chips for lunch and will eat on our balcony that looks over the cemetary next door (so lots of lovely green space and birds!)

Oh, and dinner is probably curried sausages with rice. (70's recipe with sultanas and pineapple!)

Had one coffee a d brought dog back to bed. Now hungry but doing SW so can't have the toast I fancy !

I need an idea for tonight's dinner. DH is making burgers for him and DC but I really dislike burgers. Might go retro and make a prawn cocktail.

I am drinking coffee in the garden keeping DCat company while she explores. She is very curious but also very jumpy so she won’t come out here without moral support yet!

My turn to take the DC to their swimming lessons shortly. DH will probably chill out while we’re gone. Then we both have some DIY/cleaning jobs to do before we’re all off to stay with friends tonight. I really want to get some decluttering done, we are planning a big boot fair next month to get rid of some of the crap!

my BIL is Australian and he makes it. I love it so am trying it again although i can't quite recreate whatever it is he does! (He thickens with cornflour though not chicken gravy granules I believe).

I'm meant to be at work but I've woken up with food poisoning, presumably from the cafe I went to yesterday! My friend has taken my daughter out for the day.

@TheVolturi im lucky to live in Snowdonia. Plenty of choice! Today is Tryfan in the Glyderau range. Have a Google for photos. Its s toughie but amazing! You take your time doing tryfan

I’ve tidied the kitchen, showered and now trying to get motivated to get dressed for dog walk then the gym (I’ve just joined and trying out different classes)
Need to get something nice in for dinner, just need some inspiration 😁

I had a terrible night's sleep, went downstairs and had breakfast at 5.30, emptied the dishwasher and put some stuff away (we had 4 dinner guests last night), eventually went back to bed and slept a bit longer. Feel crap, but the sun's shining. Going out with DP for walk and coffee soon, meeting a friend for a walk this afternoon, Zooming with another friend who's in Greece later. Would love to do stuff in the back garden but it's full of scaffolding and builder's gear, he's out there now. Glad to be getting the work done but will be even gladder when it's over!
No leftovers from last night except cheese, but supper will definitely be simple. DP will do it.
