Talk to me about your favourite crisp sandwich filling

I’ll start…. White bread, grate cheese, coleslaw and salt and vinegar crisps (must be walkers as I’m a crisp snob of the lowest standard)

Seed sensations bread
Salted butter
Ham
Salad cream
Ready salted walkers
Served as with a cold can of coke.

This combination has bought me back from the brink on many a Sunday morning.

Good white bread- like warburtons- real butter, spread thickly. Salt and Vinegar golden wonder crisps, walkers are acceptable second choice.

Also as a rare pleasure a prawn cocktail Skip sandwich but for some reason only with a spread like flora and not butter!

Either type of bread with philadelphia cream cheese and cheese and onion crisps- ham is optional.

Ok this is slightly grim but it I was my brother’s lunch for 12 years throughout school.

Tunafish sandwich on white bread. Ready salted hula hoops. Pinch off small amounts of tunafish sandwich. Stuff the hula hoop with the bread. Eat like a small crispy vol-au-vent.

White bread, butter one slice, grated mature cheddar cheese, walkers cheese and onion crisps, salad cream on second slice, place on top if crisps, squash down…Bon appetite 🙃

Do people still call tuna 'tunafish' then? Is there a type of tuna which isn't a fish?

Frazzles and salad cream in white sliced bread. Perfection!

Ham sandwich on white bread with butter and Walkers prawn cocktail crisps.

Slightly crunchy bakers roll, thick unsalted butter, mature cheddar, lettuce (iceberg for true retro vides), tomato, thinly sliced onion, cucumber. Salt and vinegar crisps- loads of them crammed in, rest on the side to cram in as you go.

That's my childhood lunch in a roll.

Crisp on their own are boring!

Tuna mayo with chopped up gherkins in it (sad they no longer sell pickle relish in this country) and ready salted crisps. On white bread, of course.

Soft soft white bread, preferably warburtons.
egg mayo
bbq beef hula hoops.

doubles as a hangover cure when paired with coke

Stood in a queue at Morrisons because I've had to buy white bread and salt and vinegar crisps due to this thread!

Just had a buttered roll with Johnnys Onion Rings on it. Would recommend!
