I’ll start…. White bread, grate cheese, coleslaw and salt and vinegar crisps (must be walkers as I’m a crisp snob of the lowest standard)

Just had the memory flood back of being spiked in the roof of my mouth by an errant crisp in a crisp sandwich.

Only recently discovered as was a cheese and onion GW die hard until a colleague challenged me on it.

I will occasionally fling on a cheese slice, as I did this morning.

Just salted butter on thick white bread and either cheese and onion or salt and vinegar. Must be walkers.

Same as Celiac, so no lovely white bread for me. Am considering toasting crappy gluten free bread (loaded with melty butter) to see if it works with crisps. Loved your addition of advocado. Haven't had one for years!

Really fresh springy white bread Warburton is ideal, Shipman's chicken paste and a generous layer of cheese and onion walkers crisps. Crust cut off.

Exactly the right combination of spring, paste and crunch.

I'm a purist, so it has to be crisps as the main/only filling. At a push I'll allow plastic cheese or dairylea in place of butter, but no more than that. Anything else is a sandwich with crisps.

(I will admit to adding chonion crisps to tuna mayo sandwiches, and my favourite drunk snack of marmite on toast, with cheddar, prawn cocktail crisps, folded over on itself because slicing the toast was beyond me)

Not really getting the love for the soft pappy white sliced...baguette, butter, tayto. Done.

I only do this late at night when I'm really hungry and nothing else to hand. I'd have cheap sliced white bread and butter, and a packet of crisps, most likely ready salted or salt and vinegar. I can't understand these people having other fillings in, spoils the whole thing.

Can’t believe no one has said crap white, egg mayo and walkers salt n vinegar. Mmmm. The only thing that got me through the first trimester. Glad I’m not the only crisp sandwich lover!!
