Full of lamb and hammered. Who else.

I think I'll be falling asleep in front of the FA cup.

We've just had prawn cocktail, roast lamb with roasties and yorkies (yes yorkies fucking do belong in all roasts) crumble and custard, and 5 bottles of wine between 4 adults.

Anyone else going to sleep now?

@InFiveMins

I'm honestly really jealous OP. I'd love to be full of lamb and hammered right now.

DP is making dinner (not roast lamb unfortunately - having our roast dinner tomorrow instead) but on the back of your post I've just cracked open a bottle of vodka...

Yasss.

I wish! I woke up on Friday with a chest infection… had a COVID test earlier today. So cancelled my parents coming up and put the lamb in the freezer.
Hopefully my next Sunday will be like yours 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Sounds wonderful everyone
Just had lamb and rosties at lovely sisters house.
Off home now to finish off a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc too.

Anna197264 · 17/04/2022 17:20

Sounds amazing. We’ve been the beach. Bloody freezing. On way home now to warm up with wine. I’m too full of beige food for dinner but the kids want chips!

Mooshering · 17/04/2022 17:23

@SomethingWitty44

That sounds like the perfect Easter Sunday! Go nap....get ready for the second wind!
I'm nearly 40 and I can't do a second wind these days, I have to extend the first one for all it's worth. Once I'm lying down I'm done for. Must remain upright...DH has just had a lie down, I think he's done for, I'm last man standing. Might try to feed mil a sherry and see who's the survivor.

(Mil is like Norma in the Royle Family, doesn't drink, but she'll have a medicinal sherry, gin, brandy, then another...)

We are usually all over the Easter lamb with wine by now. But we're going away in the van tomorrow so did it last week. I am having a glass though. 😄

TabithaTittlemouse · 17/04/2022 17:27

I’ve just got home from work and I’m about to demolish a nut roast and a few glasses of wine.
I love food.

tiredanddangerous · 17/04/2022 17:31

I feel like I'm doing Easter wrong. Might have to pop off and open a bottle of something.

muddyford · 17/04/2022 17:32

Lamb in the oven, very nice red wine open.

OldTinHat · 17/04/2022 17:33

I'm envious! I had a pot noodle for brunch and am now making cauliflower cheese for tea using one that came in a £1.50 Lidl veg box. Those boxes are amazing!

I do live alone btw, I'm not starving anyone 😆

sophienelisse · 17/04/2022 17:34

I'm full of wine and Ferraro rocher.

Best day ever

DrBrennerFan · 17/04/2022 17:34

Getting over a bad back so sausage sandwich’s for tea later coffee creams as a treat later. Toffee popcorn.

SquirrelFan · 17/04/2022 17:35

Me! Had lamb, broccoli, asparagus, boulangere potatoes and chantenay carrots in honey glaze. Chocolate pots for dessert! On sofa while DH games, waiting for my turn at the TV. Teens have disappeared upstairs - any minute now they'll come foraging for more!

edwinbear · 17/04/2022 17:42

Lamb in the oven and smelling amazing, plus chicken for DD who won’t eat ‘baby lambs’. Roasties, also yorkshires (any excuse), home made cauliflower cheese, peas, green beans and carrots also going in. Bottle of rose chilling in the fridge (probably time for a glass), plus Schloer for the kids.

BelleTheBananas · 17/04/2022 17:43

Lasagne is in the oven, Aldi Toro Loco is open, just boshed half a family bag of S&V crisps and houmous. Am sitting on sofa watching FA Cup and my mouth is sizzling with vinegar. Is Easter Day the best holiday? I think it might be.

thisismyusernamegoodeh · 17/04/2022 17:47

Another one here to say I'm preggers and jealous!Wine

Mooshering · 17/04/2022 17:48

Some of you guys are having evening roast. That sounds like a good idea. I'm a bit sad lunch is over. Might be best to have it as an evening dinner.

Got back from 3 days at the coast yesterday.Had a pub lunch today and just ordered an Indian for later on.

Joyfulflowers · 17/04/2022 17:51

Currently sitting in the garden in a post dinner slump polishing off the bottle of Sancerre my lovely ds bought for me

Dinner (prepped by me, cooked by dh) was

Roast lamb, York puds, roast potatoes, carrots and peas

Homemade Easter cupcakes topped with mini eggs

Feeling a bit sleepy now 🤣

Perfect day

feellikeanalien · 17/04/2022 17:53

Just tucking into lamb, sprouts and the first Jersey Royals of the season.

onelife22 · 17/04/2022 17:53

Led in bed with a stomach bug after being stuck in the house all week looking after children with a stomach bug...

SRS29 · 17/04/2022 17:55

@WingBingo

I am also full of lamb and red wine.

At 5pm on Easter Sunday I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Plus chocolate of course.

Ditto....also, random, doing yorkies for a tea time snack...plus more wine and general lolling.....happy Easter 😊
irishfarmer · 17/04/2022 17:55

Bucketed rain here today but still got out for a little bit.

Lamb shanks are currently heating after cooking them slowly yesterday. I'm having yorkies with it because I love them so why not!!

No wine for me though 26 weeks pregnant. So have one for me :)

Rememberallball · 17/04/2022 17:56

Cheap packet noodles, can of Pepsi Max and bored here. All got Covid, start of week 2 (tested positive one after the other from Saturday to Tuesday) and toddler twins barely eating even a staple like noodles, DH is getting regular bouts of hiccups and indigestion and has basically stopped eating since Friday evening. Roast lamb dinner is cooked but no point dishing up just for me so I’ve carved the meat and it’s all sat there gone cold in the kitchen. Not even got a glass of wine to cheer myself up with!!

Blimecory · 17/04/2022 17:57

I’ve been at work all day but am looking forward to a roast dinner made by the DC soon.
