When do you give Easter eggs? Sunday or Monday?

Every year I have this same dilemma, but wondered what you all thought. Is there a right answer?

Today, why Monday?

NuffSaidSam · 17/04/2022 11:33

It's definitely Sunday.

TeenPlusCat · 17/04/2022 11:34

Sunday of course. Easter Day.

Goneback2school · 17/04/2022 11:35

Sunday...doesn't everyone??

Theunamedcat · 17/04/2022 11:35

Sunday as its Easter Sunday Monday is just a Bank Holiday

SpinningMeSoftly · 17/04/2022 11:35

Today is Easter Day. Easter Sunday is Easter Day.

It's the first Sunday after the full-moon after the vernal equinox.

OchreDandelion · 17/04/2022 11:36

Sunday, never known any reason for it to be Monday?

DelphiniumBlue · 17/04/2022 11:38

I'd better hide the eggs now then!
Unanimous and fast responses everyone, thanks!

Sunday of course Confused

nomistake · 17/04/2022 11:49

But why would you ever think Monday? Easter is on a Sunday.

PupInAPram · 17/04/2022 11:54

Sunday.

Duracellbunnywannabe · 17/04/2022 11:55

Sunday. Why would it be Monday?

Justkeeprollingalong · 17/04/2022 11:57

Why must you hide them? Today is Easter Sunday, the day to give them!

minniep · 17/04/2022 11:57

Why would you wait until Monday. I'm baffled

violetbunny · 17/04/2022 12:13

You have to explain why you think it's Monday now, OP! We are all baffled. You can't leave us hanging! Grin

GeneLovesJezebel · 17/04/2022 12:14

Sunday, always.

GeneLovesJezebel · 17/04/2022 12:14

To be fair, some people do Xmas presents on Xmas Eve.

NETSRIK · 17/04/2022 12:26

What's the dilemma?

SpinningMeSoftly · 17/04/2022 12:27

Tbf, easter eggs are cheaper on Easter Monday as a lot of shops sell them off half price. So waiting does make sense in that context.

Although that doesn't seem to be relevant to the OP.

MaryBeardsShoes · 17/04/2022 12:31

Sunday. Sunday Sunday Sunday. Sunday. All day. Sunday.

ticktockriojaoclock · 17/04/2022 12:33

I'm baffled at the level of bafflement here! Use your noggins folks, some people don't do things the same way as you Grin
OP I understand your dilemma, we've never done easter from a christianity view point, more of a "bank holiday with ongoing chocolate" sort of thing. Now I have DD who expects a visit from the easter bunny and I have no clue!

DropYourSword · 17/04/2022 12:35

I too don’t understand why people are confused. It’s nowhere near as cut and dried as Christmas. And even with Christmas different nationalities and households do things on different days.

Those of us who aren’t Christian don’t really get the distinction between the different days of the 4 days.

Hello ladies, I'm looking to purchase 6 mixed red wines for my boyfriends birthday, a week today. Do you have any recommendations?

He likes Barola!

I'm not a wine drinker myself so would really appreciate some input.

DelphiniumBlue · 17/04/2022 12:41

So there's Easter Sunday and Easter Monday, nothing in either of those names specifies Easter eggs. I am not from a Christian background but even if I was, nothing in the bible says anything about chocolate as far as I know. How are you guys all so certain about it?
