Can I show off my Easter cake? And would anyone like to show me theirs?

19yo DS1 came home from uni wanting to learn how to do lots of different cake-making, icing and sugarcraft, so we've had a fun few weeks, culminating in this Easter cake which we made all the flowers for together

It's a six-layer chocolate cake with whipped milk chocolate ganache filling, dark chocolate ganache coating, and piped sweetened chocolate whipped cream.

Anyone else made an Easter cake they want to post a pic of?

I’m a professional cake maker (I have a shop and everything ) and in my professional opinion that cake looks poisonous. It must not be eaten. If you send it to me I can get rid of it for you and no one will be harmed

Yeah that looks poisonous too. Not sure what’s going on today. Stick it in a sealed container with a few ice packs and send it to me please. Lucky I’m here really.

My DD’s had fun making this nest cake. Chocolate fudge cake with white chocolate icing.

So upset by pictures of cakes you had to post it twice. Poor thing.

And there was me thinking that a basic chocolate sponge with a load of mini eggs on top would do for a family gathering tomorrow. Clearly I am not ambitious (or clever) enough.

Your DS sounds great OP, he will be very popular at uni with skills like that.

Nowhere near as fancy as your beautiful creation, but I hada spare half hour so I made cheese cakes in the halves of spare Easter eggs. Out the base in first and for that I just ground up rich tea and mashed milks. No butter as I wanted it light. The cheesecake is white chocolate, lemon and raspberry. Really light and fluffy and not too sweet at all.

Err is there such a thing as a spare Easter egg?
