notonthestairs ooops, yes, you are right.

There are so many, I lose track.

Notonthestairs · 22/04/2022 17:14

There are an awful lot of gatherings to keep track of.
No idea how they will attempt to spin this one. "He was there for 8 minutes and only sniffed a canapé". Or more likely "We have to wait! This still isn't the most illegal one!"

This is interesting from a legal point of view on the Met not giving out any info prior to local Elections. There's fors and againsts.

Notonthestairs · 22/04/2022 17:27

That is interesting. Does make me wonder about the timing of the FPNs. We are at the mercy of Number 10 standing by previous promises. Doesn't fill me with confidence.

'On that day little Matty Hancock'

And yet I get told off for saying Angie. So much hypocrisy and inconsistency on these threads.

Piggywaspushed · 22/04/2022 17:35

It was me that 'told you off' , not Rousette. We are not 'one voice' ergo it isn't hypocrisy.

Notonthestairs · 22/04/2022 17:36

I rather think Hancock has done an excellent job of besmirching his own reputation dont you?

Piggywaspushed · 22/04/2022 17:37

Roussette · 22/04/2022 17:09

I think that was the one, yes. She was either holding Wilf or their pet dog! And there was a trestle table with drinks, wine and cheese.

Again this will be justified as a work meeting no doubt, and an extension of the office. Yeah right....

On that day little Matty Hancock had given a 5pm press conference urging people to stick to the rules and not take advantage of the good weather over the May weekend to socialise in groups

I thought the one where she was holding Wilf was the 15h May patio one??

Isn't the 20th the party of the broken swing?

Notonthestairs · 22/04/2022 17:39

Broken swing was April 2021, James Slack leaving party.

Good point.

Notonthestairs · 22/04/2022 17:59

The garden gathering had people who worked outside of No 10 and Carrie's friends. I'm sure they'll suggest it was a works party (still illegal) but I'm not sure how persuasive that will be at this stage.

DuncinToffee · 22/04/2022 18:07

Reminder what the Prime Minister said about this event in the Commons on 12th January: “I believed implicitly that this was a work event.”

I can't help but think that the Met would not have said they weren't going to say anything until after the elections unless there was something to say.

They would hardly tell us they weren't going to say anything, if there were no more fines, for Boris to report.

@JaniieJones While you are here I have conducted a survey of over 50 people as to the question as to whether or not many people had cake and socialised with colleagues during the lockdown in May and June 2020.

The results overwhelming demonstrate that whilst some people who worked closely together did socialise a bit (did those at the birthday party actually spend all day working together) the vast majority of respondents did no such thing.
So I think we can put to bed the notion that many people were having parties like Boris.
You are most welcome.

Does the Prime Minister have a different understanding of what work is to most people?

So many parties. So easy to be confused.

It's all one big boozy party to him

DuncinToffee · 22/04/2022 18:30

I think this was the gathering where Johnson was warned in advance that it was against the rules according to Cummings

Only if it’s the same posters. Do you know that for definite?

(that’s rhetorical, it wouldn’t fit your mo to back something up)

Notonthestairs · 22/04/2022 17:02

The photo of the patio cheese and wine meeting was on 15th May.

20th May was the BYOB event organised by Martin Reynolds (aide to Johnson) to enjoy the weather. 100 invited, 40 attended including Johnson and Carrie Johnson.
At the time we were able to meet one other person outside provided we remained 2 metres apart (Rule of 6 outside came a month later).

Thank you, I had a feeling I had got it wrong.

Just when you need Clav to copy a link they are not on shift.

Parties aside I think that was a well known given anyway!

the80sweregreat · 22/04/2022 19:41

Someone in the commons mentioned Allegra Stratton yesterday , but nobody really answered them why she was the only one who resigned , who didn't actually go to any of the parties at number 10.
🤔

Notonthestairs · 22/04/2022 20:05

KS definitely mentioned her and maybe William Wragg?
I was pretty ambivalent when she resigned but it's pretty obvious now she was thrown under the bus to shut this down.
