I’m always amazed when I read these and people have three square meals with maybe a biscuit. I’m a total grazer! Here goes.

Greek yogurt
Lindt Mint Intense Dark Choc (4 large squares, always start my day with chocolate!)

Mini Cathedral City cheese
Some handfuls of Just Right cereal
A crumpet with butter

Whole meal toast
Half an avocado
Cherry Tomatos
Balsamic vinegar

A LOT of watermelon (probably half of a whole one as I’ve been chopping into it all day), couple of strawberries

A Nature Valley oaty bar
Few handfuls of cornflakes!!

I do log it all on My Fitness Pal to keep me under 1750 a day. (Maintaining not losing).

Works for me! 😆

funnyoldonion · 12/04/2022 23:08

SAB10 · 13/04/2022 07:24

For yesterday -

Coffee with milk
Two mini milks
Small portion of Quorn chilli with veg (no rice etc.)
Bowl of mixed berries
Small portion of dhal with veg, salad and cauliflower rice
Another mini milk
More mixed berries
Small 'Light & Free' yoghurt
More dhal
Couple of bites of husband's dinner (pork stir fry)
Another mini milk and a bite or two of husband's chocolate bar Blush
Some sugar free sweets
Lots of water

As you can tell I'm a grazer with a sweet tooth - trying to fit healthy eating into that but yesterday was a bit of a sugar overload fail!

Itstheprinciple · 13/04/2022 08:03

Yesterday was:
Lidl high protein granola with fat free Greek yogurt, blueberries and a drizzle of honey.

Two hot cross buns, toasted with lurpak, a can of San pelligrino limonta (yum)

A teaspoon of Nutella (I wanted to recycle the jar but there was a spoonful left!)

Sloppy Dogs (a pinch of nom recipe) basically low fat pork mince in a sauce served in a hot dog roll. I had two but I was very bloated afterwards.

A 10 cal jelly before bed as the bloating had worn off and left me peckish.

Plus cups of tea and Pepsi max.

I am following Paul McKenna. I did not eat my tea mindfully though, hence ending up bloated so I learned my lesson there.

peachgreen · 13/04/2022 11:47

Honestly it makes me want to cry seeing how much other people can eat and not put on masses of weight. Some of these foods are just off the table for me - crumpets, hot cross buns, bread - I daydream about them! Maybe once I'm at a maintenance level I'll be able to have them again.

And this isn't me competitive under-eating - I WISH I could eat in what is clearly a very normal way, given the majority of the responses on this thread, but I just can't and I don't understand why.

Apologies, just feeling a bit sorry for myself. Yesterday I had one coffee (80cals), a lettuce wrap with a home-made low calorie spicy bean burger (479cals) and 30g of porridge made with milk and a spoonful of honey (300cals). And that's a pretty normal day for me. And yet I'm still a size 20! Sad

Chaoslatte · 13/04/2022 12:03

Don’t feel down @peachgreen - you don’t know how much other people weigh, their activity levels or whether they are gaining/losing/maintaining.

peachgreen · 13/04/2022 12:06

Thanks @Chaoslatte - I guess I am assuming that everyone posting is maintaining a healthy way which possibly isn't true. It's just so frustrating that I feel SO restricted and still struggle so much with my weight.

Blackmagicqueen · 13/04/2022 12:57

@peachgreen please don't feel bad because as a pp said we don't know other ppls activity levels etc. We also don't know their age. As we age our calorie intake goes down meaning we put on weight more easily. I bought a pair of scales that tell you bmi, visceral fat, body fat percentage etc and how many calories you should eat. I was absolutely shocked how low mine now are at just 1393 calories per day (i could eat pretty much whatever I wanted in my teens and early to mid twenties without a thought). Now in my 30s I have to be really careful. If I eat an indulgent dinner I have to fast all day so that my calories aren't over! If I over eat one day I'll under eat the next etc. It is definately a balancing act and varies depending on how active I am (quite so at the moment with 2 young dc).

Blackmagicqueen · 13/04/2022 12:59

Oh and that's just to maintain my current weight (losing has to be even less).

elidelochanthefirst · 13/04/2022 13:45

@peachgreen
I'm with you. It took me a year to lose 3.5 stone I put on pregnant and I absolutely can't eat tons otherwise the weight creeps up again. So you're not alone 💐

TheDoveFromAboveCooCoo · 13/04/2022 13:47

Today has been:
2 crumpets
Half a bag of pistachios
Tonight's dinner is chicken wrapped in Parma ham with rocket, tomato and red onion salad with a mooli, white cabbage mix carrot and onion coleslaw that I'm about to prep!

Why on earth would you assume everyone on this thread is a healthy weight? That's crazy.

I am at least 30lb overweight - if you look at my posts you'll see I don't eat a great deal, but it's not the healthiest stuff and I'm nearly 60.

I like these threads. They have nothing to do with diet or weight loss. Why does every thread have to be, why can't we just be neutral about food for once?

Getabloominmoveon · 13/04/2022 14:02

So far -
Small cappuccino
Bit of almond cake

Roasted red pepper with anchovy and tomato
A bit of cheese
A slice of focaccia

A nibble of chocolate

A black coffee and a couple of teas

Out for dinner later so probably loads more to come

A580Hojas · 13/04/2022 14:03

The thread is in Chat, not Weight Loss Chat or any other weight loss topic.

peachgreen · 13/04/2022 14:15

@A580Hojas Sorry, I didn't mean to derail the thread. Just finding it pretty tough at the moment and blurted out my feelings without really thinking. Apologies.

SAB10 · 13/04/2022 14:34

Today I have had -

Mixed berries
Coffee with milk
Cauliflower fritters with homemade hummus and salad
Bit of dhal
More berries
Two mini milks and a bit of DH's chocolate

Dinner will be steak, sweet potato and salad Smile

nearlyspringyay · 13/04/2022 14:48

@JellyfishandShells

Bran flakes Orange

Homemade chicken, vegetable and rice soup
Pear
Chocolate hobnob

Cheese and ham toasted sandwich
4 dates

About 4 cups of tea, water.

Just coming out of Covid and actually fancy food again. Today is the most I have eaten all week, though all small portions. . Oddly has left me really disliking taste of coffee.

I still cant drink coffee @JellyfishandShells and I had Covid in August last year. I bloody love coffee!!
Libertybear80 · 13/04/2022 14:54

natural Greek yoghurt
1 plum
Some grapes

A ham and tomato baguette
Some grapes

MissyB1 · 13/04/2022 14:59

Bowl of porridge with banana.
Strawberries, raspberries and yogurt.
Lots of coffee and tea

Mexican tortilla bake (Mary berry) for dinner tonight.

jessicama · 13/04/2022 15:12

@elidelochanthefirst - I guess it just goes to show that one diet could never suit all!

Today is so far similar to yesterday... I'm def a creature of habit

Porridge with apple, almonds and honey, plus coffee

Dates and peanut butter, plus another coffee

Toast and half an avocado, with salad. Cuppa.

Then dinner will probably be a veggie risotto
