But. I thought Joaquin Phoenix was lovely when he was in his 20s, I think he's doubly gorgeous in his late 40s with a grey beard. Beautiful man.

I've been unable to watch him in anything since the Casey Affleck stuff that he (from what I can tell) just allowed to happen a few years back. Having googled around a bit, maybe he wasn't implicated in the way I thought he was, but the damage is done now. Years ago I watched To Die For (that and Drugstore Cowboy were on channel 4 late at night back to back, I had a Matt Dillon phase and I managed to catch both on one video tape, I definitely wasn't old enough to watch them) and after that, I bloody loved Phoenix back then.

Soo agree about him as the joker. Think that film is brilliant there are some stunningly sad moments particularly when he writes the problem with mental health is people expect you to act as if you don't have mental health problems. Not an exact quote sorry guys x

He's gorgeous, but then every so often I remember him in Parenthood as a young boy (I was mildly obsessed with that film and saw it many times as a teen) and for some reason it makes me feel weird. I've no idea why, it's not like I fancy him at that age (just to be clear!).

Russel is a brilliant actor but is in no way attractive. I loved Joaquin in Gladiator. I've loved him since Parenthood. He is beautful.

Actually I once worked with a guy who was the spitting image of him. Now HE was an absolute bellend.
