...he never comes back?

Why? What did you think I was going to say?

@Tangerinedreamisatheme

Go on the feminist threads. They love him Confused.
I don't think they "love" him but at least he knows what the definition of a woman is.
RufustheFloralmissingreindeer · 09/04/2022 23:06

@Kirstos1

Really?
No

They don’t love him

That poster is just chatting shit

It's so depressing how many people in this country (or on mn) just have to have a go at BJ no matter what. Why not just be proud of the support the UK has given Ukraine. The Ukrainians do love him, because the British army has trained their soliders and provided more weapons to them than anyone else.
I am proud of the UK - but I have utter contempt for Johnson.

If he said it was sunny outside, I would have to check myself.

The UK itself, the UK Armed Forces and the British people have a lot to be proud for in how we have supported Ukraine in their struggle.

The Government has let the UK down on the refugee visa scheme. Priti Patel has apologised for that.

RufustheFloralmissingreindeer · 09/04/2022 23:06

wish we could! His people will follow him into a war. I wouldn't follow Boris through a door

I agree. I can't stand him but l am very proud of the way we have supported Ukraine militarily.

I have no time for Boris as a man nor a politician but I would imagine it was significant to have a foreign leader physically in the Ukraine capital. The people of Ukraine must be feeling so isolated from the rest of the world.

Where in Russia are his ancestors from?
Why ?

I agree.

I can imagine there will be a bit of a rush on.

The EU President has been. Now Johnson. I bet Macron would love to go but he has domestic issues. I doubt Biden will go. That would give the Secret Service nightmares with their planning.

EvilGoldfish · 09/04/2022 23:22

Oh look. Those who believe they have the moral high ground wishing death upon a stranger because they don’t share exactly the same opinions. What a shocker Hmm

I was pleased with his statement supporting the safeguarding of women and children earlier in the week. I certainly don’t ‘love’ him, and believe we would probably disagree over most things.

Still, hope he comes home safe to his family.

TooOldandTired · 09/04/2022 23:22

@cakeorwine do you not see your position is illogical. The government are responsible for what you say has gone wrong (Visas) but not for what has been done well ( military and political support). Like it or not BJ as PM is making those good decisions and he and the government are also responsible for them.

I can praise the UK Government for their collective decision on the support for Ukraine.

I can also say that Johnson is a liar. I have contempt for him. He lies, manipulates the truth and the sooner he is gone, the better.

LegallyBlende · 09/04/2022 23:29

I've no time for Boris but fair play to him in Ukraine today. Did he even get his haircut??

I was scared for them all walking around the city, easy targets for any crazies about.

RishiRich · 09/04/2022 23:30

@marjayy

Can't say I'd be gutted if a bomb happened to fall on his twatty head.

I'd probably throw a party.

That's the worst thing that could possibly happen. There would be plaudits from all over the world about how brilliant he was, a state funeral, a statue, a posthumous peerage... Envy I wouldn't be particularly surprised if he took himself off to the front lines to get wounded on purpose - think how all was temporarily forgiven when he had covid!

I wouldn't follow Boris through a door.

Well, you wouldn't want to end up in a fridge.

cakeorwine · 09/04/2022 23:33

And all this crap about it being hard to get rid of a PM during a war...

Have people forgotten that there was a vote of no confidence in Thatcher just as the Kuwait war was kicking off? John Major came in.

I have no doubt that any UK Prime Minister - regardless of the party they support would give Ukraine what they need.

@cakeorwine err it was absolutely everywhere yesterday?

Aaaabbbcccc · 09/04/2022 23:40

I think it is great he went. I would vote for him and I am a life long labour voter.

Hear hear. But then, apparently almost everyone on mn would be able to do a better job………..

I'd do a better job than some interviewers at exposing his lies and misleading statistics.

EmeraldShamrock1 · 09/04/2022 23:57

Fair play to him, his visit speaks volumes.

He has his blunders but he has balls too.

I'd be proud of him for this. not excusing his past mistakes

Tangerinedreamisatheme · 10/04/2022 00:36

@RufustheFloralmissingreindeer beg to differ. If the rest of the country votes for johnson like all the 'life long labour voting' feminists over there the tories are going to be in power for the next 50 years.

Bonheurdupasse · 10/04/2022 00:44

As someone with connections verrrrrry close to Ukraine (let's just say people at home are absolutely terrified of what's going on), fair plain to the UK PM for going over there.
I've thought of going to help myself but not skilled or brave enough.

Selma22 · 10/04/2022 00:48

@vdbfamily

A friend of ours works for an NGO and just spent 9 days in Ukraine working with government officials. Apparently the Ukrainians absolutely LOVE Boris. He has apparently done everything he can short of joining the war to support their efforts according to them. He will be warmly received there.
Shh don't say positive thing on here when people hate the man enough to joke about him dying .Poor taste

At least unlike labour leaders he can tell a difference between a woman and a man
