Do you still hold hands with your other half?

Just been sat in the car, watching couples coming in and out of school (parents evening) and noticed how few parents hold hands while they're walking together.
I've been with DH over two decades but we still do.
Just a casual observation. I'm not doing a survey or anything Grin

We do sometimes when we’re out walking, we’ve been married 26 years.

Nnique · 04/04/2022 17:22

Yes we often do. Been together 15+ years. ❤️

saggyhairyass · 04/04/2022 17:22

Not much, no.

EssexLioness · 04/04/2022 17:26

Been together 18 years and yes we do pretty much all the time. I love when you see older couples together still holding hands - makes me feel all warm inside.

custardbear · 04/04/2022 17:27

Yes, link arms, hold hands, smooch when we're out alone (rare with young kids)- 27 years together 🥰

Cupcakegirl13 · 04/04/2022 17:28

We do at every opportunity when not chasing small children

FindingMeno · 04/04/2022 17:28

No.
I try to pretend I'm not with him.

Floralnomad · 04/04/2022 17:29

Been together 37 yrs , married for 30+ and we still hold hands if we are walking anywhere together .

marriednotdead · 04/04/2022 17:29

Yes, always. He would be most affronted if I declined, he's always been very tactile.

Member278307 · 04/04/2022 17:31

Yes still hold hands. Been married almost 60 years

Thisyearcandoone · 04/04/2022 17:32

Yep always or link arms x

Parky04 · 04/04/2022 17:32

Never held hands in the 30 years we have been together. We are not very tactile.

manysummersago · 04/04/2022 17:32

No, never liked it. I feel like a child on a school trip.

GuyDiamond · 04/04/2022 17:33

Yes, but not in the school playground for some reason. We rarely do the school run together though tbf

ginslinger · 04/04/2022 17:35

quite a lot - married over 30 years

TulipsGarden · 04/04/2022 17:35

No, never - I would find that very odd. Together 15+ years. We used to in the early days but I like my own space now! We do link arms sometimes., on the rare occasion we're not toddler-wrangling.

watcherintherye · 04/04/2022 17:35

Married 30 years. We’ve never really been hand holders, or snogged in public, but we do link arms when walking together!

isthismylifenow · 04/04/2022 17:36

My ex and I didn't all that much.

I just love seeing older couples walking together hand in hand.

MrsElijahMikaelson1 · 04/04/2022 17:37

Yes-together for 21yrs married for 18yrs.

Forestcantrun · 04/04/2022 17:38

I love it... DH not so much 🤣

Monkeybutt1 · 04/04/2022 17:39

Yes we do when we can. We also always cuddle up on the sofa on a night. We've been together 15 years

PastMyBestBeforeDate · 04/04/2022 17:41

Yes we do. 20+ years together.
We usually go to sleep holding hands too Blush

Undertheoldlindentree · 04/04/2022 17:46

No, never do. Not keen on PDA's. It's ok in very elderly folk and very young, but in the middle stage it seems a bit try-hard and doesn't seem to fit with being a grown up. Just my view!

MajorCarolDanvers · 04/04/2022 17:47

Been together 23 years - we've never been
Hand holders.

ILoveYouMoreTheEnd · 04/04/2022 17:47

Yes! Weaways hold hands and we do the same watching TV or always touching in some way. We often fall asleep holding hands or spooning holding hands. We've been together 4 years and married just over a year. I'm 50 this year and spent 23 years with a man who wasn't affectionate at all and we slept in separate beds for 15 years. Now I just love how close me and my DH are, I love seeing elderly couples hold hands xx
