Are there ones he isn't fussed about? Just buy those so he will only eat a couple a day.

SoftSheen · 03/04/2022 17:28

Any type that you don't particularly like and won't be tempted to eat more than one of Grin

greenmeansNogo · 03/04/2022 17:28

He likes everything even fig rolls

I always imagine garibaldi must be low in calories but you can buy weight watcher ones I'm sure.

Lambanddog · 03/04/2022 17:29

Rich tea have little nutritional value but are only about 36 calories each, compared to something like a digestive which at least has a little fibre but is 70 calories. I'd say rich tea would be a good option as they aren't particularly moreish (unless you butter them Blush).

whatisthisinhere · 03/04/2022 17:30

I'm following just to see

ReadyToMoveIt · 03/04/2022 17:30

By ‘healthiest’ do you mean ‘lowest calorie’?
He can eat whatever biscuits he wants as long as he has an overall calorie deficit.

LightDrizzle · 03/04/2022 17:30

Rice cakes Sad but they don’t count as biscuits in my book.

Sadly biscuits are the enemy of weight loss as they are so calorific and easy to eat. Rich Tea may be less calorific than a Hob-Nob but they are still highly calorific. He needs to do without biscuits if he can’t restrict himself to one or two max a day.

And yes, I hate you for using the b-word.

Comedycook · 03/04/2022 17:31

Apparently there's only about 25 calories in a party ring

Lambanddog · 03/04/2022 17:32

30 cals in a chocolate finger.

Don't forget, broken biscuits don't have a calorific value.

NewBootsAndRanty · 03/04/2022 17:36

Sports biscuits, obviously ;)

WhoWants2Know · 03/04/2022 17:42

I would think maybe Nairn's stem ginger biscuits, for the oats and the lower sugar content.

Lucinda7 · 03/04/2022 17:43

I am diabetic and buy low sugar biscuits. I get mine from Amazon. They are nice ,unlike low sugar cake.

GeneLovesJezebel · 03/04/2022 17:44

There aren’t that many calories in a Jaffa cake.

LikeACatInTheDark · 03/04/2022 17:53

I asked my community diabetes service dietician about whether no added sugar biscuits were okay; I was told if I was going to eat biscuits, go for all butter shortbread instead because it contains "less crap".

Would you mind naming them / linking them as I have a newly diagnosed neighbour who is having to undertake a major lifestyle overhaul and asked my advice (I had GD years ago)
EggbertHeartsTina · 03/04/2022 18:09

What do you mean “even fig rolls”??? They’re the best ones

RewildingAmbridge · 03/04/2022 18:11

Lowest calorie rich tea Fingers, not even a while rich tea! Also dry and bland and no good for dunking so not tempting to eat half a packet

HelloSpringIveMissedYou · 03/04/2022 19:11

I love a fig roll and it's one of your five a day Wink

teezletangler · 03/04/2022 19:22

Low calorie doesn't equal healthy. Which is he looking for?

I'd think a plain digestive, fig newton or some kind of oat biscuit would be healthiest.

NewBootsAndRanty · 03/04/2022 19:23

Add a lemon puff and you've got TWO of your five a day!
DogsAndGin · 03/04/2022 19:58

Hahahaaa this post is hilarious. Rich Tea are NOT diet food 😂
NotMeNoNo · 03/04/2022 20:06

Have an oatcake with a bit of cheese or peanut butter.

The healthiest biscuit is any home made one with normal ingredients. But it won't help you lose weight.

AuntieDolly · 03/04/2022 20:08

What about those pink wafer biscuits? They were always on about them at ww

ShowOfHands · 03/04/2022 20:08

Fig rolls are delicious.

I haven't had a lemon puff since being a tiny child. I'd forgotten they exist. Can you still get them?

It doesn't sound like he's in the right frame of mind to diet.
