It's Sunday. I'm bored! Do you have any celebrity friends as in close enough to have them on Watsapp etc. Come on give us a clue, maybe some MNers will even be brave enough to tell us names!

I used to work for Robbie Williams, but it was around 20 years ago. Not sure if that counts!

I stand corrected about Cilla. What a shame, I knew a few people who went on Blind Date and always had her down as a lorra lafs!

I think anyone who actually knows any ‘real’ celebrities ( and not old 90s pop stars or someone from Brookie) would not feel okay at mentioning their names all over mumsnet. I certainly wouldn’t.

The thing is, the "celebrities" know lots of people, so one person mentioning that they know them is hardly going to reveal anything secret. I mentioned one well known person that I've met because in a casual chat on the net it was a nice thing to do, and to say how nice he is. It doesn't "out" anyone. The well known person I won't ever name is my partner.

This is a bit Brigit Jones. I was out with my friends and got to meet a very handsome television presenter he was trying to get me to share a cab with him back West from East London but because my friend had split with her bf recently I declined and stayed with her . She was wailing because us girls had all met someone. It was quite a crazy girls night and at one point my friend and a guy became human windscreen wipers on the window of the club they were snogging so passionately. Anyway so this very tall handsome guy had my number but I didn’t share a taxi that night . I never heard from him until a year later . I was having an Easter meal with family and he started messaging me. “ I replied are you rewriting the 3 day rule ? “ seeing as he left it a year exact to that day! He said lets resurrect our drinking plan. Cheesy Easter Pun . Anyway he checked out my facebook he was probably just going through the black book for the Bank holiday or forgot what I looked like😬So he started emailing me and texting to meet up. In the meantime I was so excited I could barely sleep or eat and my friends were googling him telling they even knew how much he weighed 😂. He was I thought a very handsome prince. I had lost a few pounds just from sheer nervous excitement. We met in a winebar and he had his laptop with him as he was currently writing a book which if he lost he had no back up so it wasn’t going to be a debauched evening. Now reader on the night of this date my mother was having her cancer operation the next morning but she insisted I go on this date. So I went with a feeling of nerves beyond nerves it felt monumental . We ended up in a restaurant because he was hungry I had already eaten and so I ate another meal as I was too shy to not join in. He was saying how bad the pay was at the BBC and that he had never travelled where had I been to? Lies because I had seen him in programs filmed overseas? What was that all about? Tip the power balance of fame? Who knows. My mother had secured an apartment for him from money he had inherited from his Grandmother so I wasn’t going to start falling for the woe is me story. He talked about another presenter being his competition and how he had just got a house in Nottinghill. We travelled on the tube at the end of the night which he never does i.e Public transport. We got to our destination and we snogged on the platform. I told him to put some oomph into it , he was cupping my head with very gentle hands but I decided On a whim to decline his offer to come to his so I jumped on a tube and sat there waiting for it to leave the platform of course it sat there for ages and he was standing on the platform clenching his fists in frustration looking at me. I had gone halves all evening and wasn’t exactly swept off my feet. I had listened to my inner voice that I would have just been fodder! My friend kept saying I am sure he will be with a well heeled young lady. We kept joking about suitable footwear but of course looking back she was so right. His marriage would be telling so I can’t say but my sister bless her said typical. It’s strange seeing a paper with their face on crushed on a train seat in front of you or before the date watching him on television whilst on the phone to a friend with her saying how handsome he is. We were supposed to go on another date after I got the nerve to contact him my friends were saying u would have come across disinterested after the last date. This went against my instinct but he seemed pleased to hear from me. We messaged but never met up again. I made a rule after that to not go on a date that takes a bloody year to get in contact !! Younger me was oh he is still thinking about me. Wiser me is he is not that bothered 🤓 The funny thing is a year or so later you could buy tickets for a evening talk hosted by him and the naughty part of me questioned if I should have gone back to his to get to know him better 😂

Not great 'friends' as such but I have mutual friends with Holly Willoughby and have been to some of the same events e.g a weekend wedding abroad/ hen weekend, etc. She's always very lovely and seems quite conscious about being a celeb/ what may end up in papers (or on a site like this!) so hard for her to let her hair down.

Her husband isn't so popular amongst friends 🥴

I'm sorry, it wasn't meant to be nasty. I assumed you were making a humorous reference to your son being in the same class at school as Prince George. Do you mean your son is an adult and works at the school or an extracurricular activity Prince George undertakes?

@Catclean because that info combined with other things I've posted about myself makes it easy to figure out who I am, if you know me. Isn't that why everyone NCs?

I'm married to an ex pop-star. He only had one hit but he has some good tales to tell. I also various celebs in my phone whether it's because I've interviewed them or worked with them. I'm a freelance writer and one of my current clients is a well known TV presenter who is blummin lovely. It makes a nice change as most celebs I've met are not!

Anyone know Vanessa Feltz? She has recently become very active on instagram and she comes across as lovely, v devoted to her family.

I once met Gail and Brian from Corrie. Both had amazingly big hair.

Yes @MVision, I've worked with her when she modelled for a catalogue some years back. I spent every day for a week working directly with her & found her to be a really genuinely lovely woman & by far the easiest slob id ever worked with. She knew her stuff too, so I didn't have to spend half of the sessions talking her in & out of what could & couldn't be done s happened with some Danny Minogue was dreadful & up until DDs prom dress, the worst id ever encountered.

My old gay friend who manages a store close to Vanessasa home, where she pops in for supplies & he shocked me by saying that she's a complete bitch when he's met her

I'm friends with a famous scientist who does stuff on tv and radio (not Brian Cox!) and we often exchange DMs and have met, and hugged, semi flirtatiously, quite a few times. We both had covid a couple of weeks ago and he asked how I was, and I was moaning about work putting pressure on me to still go in, whereas his moan was that he had to postpone going to Windsor Castle to get his CBE!
