Despite how thin Kate is, her face is lovely and pumped up. I want the name of her doctor! Great work re the fillers.

Gonnagetgoing Diana died in 1997 at the age of 36. People weren't really having Botox, fillers etc in the way we are now, and most people at 36 wouldn't have dreamt of having them. It's a completely different scenario now.

LuckySantangelo35 · 23/03/2022 12:10

@Gonnagetgoing

Not me!
I have just had fillers myself so no judgement here. But I do think there needs to be some level of transparency around it so as to stop others from having unrealistic expectations of themselves and ageing. A bit like with Instagram influencers’ more and more of them are starting to admit that their photos are artificial, will have some help from
Photoshop etc so as not to make others people feel shit about them self and their own lives in comparison

mocktail · 23/03/2022 12:12

In the before and after photo a couple of people have posted including @ToMockAKillingBird apparently the photo on the left was taken two years after the one on the right. So this is total fake news.

Yes I was clicking through photos online (The Daily Mail Shock) and it occurred to me that she looks fabulous but somehow doesn't quite look like her usual self.

I've never had any work done on my face but it's v interesting reading what others have written re Botox & fillers etc

Absolutely not throwing any shade at Kate- she's looking amazing!

@Mariposa67 - yes I know people didn't have Botox, fillers a lot back then - but there were face lifts and plastic surgery around. Diana however didn't need plastic surgery. and yes at 36 most people back then wouldn't have dreamed of having Botox etc.

@NoSauce

How do you know what KM has had done OP?
By looking at the pictures haha!
2bazookas · 23/03/2022 12:35

God, I would love to be that thin again.

Favourodds · 23/03/2022 12:36

This is KM in 2010.

I don't care about the Botox. I have Botox. If I was going to get photographed all the time, I'd have loads of Botox. I worry about people aspiring to attain this appearance without the benefit of money and a great doctor.

Just stating facts, love- chill out!

LuckySantangelo35 · 23/03/2022 12:46

@NoSauce
Because we have eyes and can see 👀

ToMockAKillingBird · 23/03/2022 12:54

Maybe, rather than Botox, fillers, etc Kate has discovered the real fount of eternal youth?

Soffit · 23/03/2022 12:55

I know people who were around her at university and she was never considered a stunner. She was firmly in the pleasant/kind looking girl-next-door category and actually quite plump. Then, she started aging prematurely (being a long term smoker and somehow dieted herself down to nothing - now that's a greater mystery I'd like to find out more about!)

She has had top tier botox, filler, extensions etc. but she absolutely had to do it in her position so I would not judge her for it. She is photographed constantly and tabloid gold. It is the presidential package which most first ladies around the world seem to have (think Laetitzia, Rania (who was probably naturally stunning but did we ever see her face pre-surgery?), Melania etc.

Soffit · 23/03/2022 12:59

I think she looks absolutely amazing for somebody whose character rather than beauty was clearly her fortune (in her natural state).

@Soffit Really?! She was really fit when at university too. The people who you know must have very very high standards as to what they consider pretty

Lucky did you mean to tag someone else?

I don’t think you meant me

Soffit · 23/03/2022 13:05

@LuckySantangelo35 - She has always been extremely, that's true, but this was not her natural body shape, even at the start of her relationship (I am sure there are tabloid photos). Even at school, Pippa had the better figure but it has completely reversed now and I put that down to expert nutrition and fitness help. Of course, fitness and natural beauty are completely different things.

Soffit · 23/03/2022 13:05

extremely sporty

LuckySantangelo35 · 23/03/2022 13:07

@Soffit
Sorry I meant fit in the sense of attractive, pretty, etc.

mocktail · 23/03/2022 13:12

I have never seen a single photo where she looked "quite plump" 🤣🤣🤣 Seriously?!

UnconditionalSurrender · 23/03/2022 13:14

I caught her on a news clip yesterday and thought oh is Kate whatsherface pregnant again because her face was fuller. Prob fillers then. I haven't paid any close attention to the Royals for years so it was surprising enough I noticed.

I think its fine to talk about this stuff. I have a friend who looked amazing but shes full of injectables. She says its genetics. Makes the rest of us feel like shit that somehow we are inferior. However, it looks less amazing as she gets older and has more stuff done. If people don't talk about it it's setting another sort of unnattainable beauty standard for those who don't want to or can't afford to.

mocktail · 23/03/2022 13:14

And talk of "better figure"? Honestly I wish MN would take this thread down again.

Delatron · 23/03/2022 13:14

Agree with everything @trailrunner85 said.

It’s not a criticism to say someone has had good work. And yes people are misunderstanding Botox. It can be very subtle. It’s changed since the frozen look of the early days!

I also think it’s great so many people are insisting she hasn’t had any work done (despite all the evidence to the contrary). Puts paid to the ‘all Botox and filler work look awful with no exception’ that I see often on here.

Very few women over 40 in the public eye will have had zero work. People need to understand this and not have unrealistic expectations of ageing. (Apart from on here - all those 60 year olds piping up to say they have no lines and get mistaken for 25 all the time).

Delatron · 23/03/2022 13:15

I do wish people would talk about it. I fully admit it to all my friends.
I like the influencers (such as Kat Farmer) who openly talk about the Botox and filler they get. It shouldn’t be some awful secret.

Soffit · 23/03/2022 13:17

Well, it is in the eye of the beholder, obviously.
I think she's a lovely person, I'm a fan but every photo of her in the pre-makeover era shows somebody distinctly average and everybody who has mixed with her says the same. If you can find any which show somebody who was on a trajectory towards becoming skinny with chiseled, fine features then I would be interested to see them!

Soffit · 23/03/2022 13:18

If she was naturally born that way then she would not have had all the work done would she?
