Would you judge us? (Lighthearted question)

This is lighthearted I am just wondering what others are thinking about us. Currently on holiday and on the first day DS (age 2) ruined his outfit before we had even left the hotel at breakfast. Since then we have brought him down in his PJs. I have noticed a few looks from other guests looking at DS. Not sure if it's because he is still in his PJs or not.
Just wondering would you judge us for this?

Omg don't give him tech too.

CremeEggThief · 06/03/2022 16:20

No. I couldn't care less. I probably wouldn't even notice tbh.

Kanaloa · 06/03/2022 16:22

No. I can’t say I would really care. I mean I’m judging you a tiny bit because I’m so jealous you’re on holiday, but other than that, no.

However, what was he eating to totally ruin an outfit? Breakfast is usually something easy to eat isn’t it?

InFiveMins · 06/03/2022 16:23

Not at all. Wouldn't even look twice at a young child in pyjamas at any time of the day.

mynameiscalypso · 06/03/2022 16:24

Given I struggle most days to get my two year old to wear trousers, I'd think you're doing brilliantly

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 06/03/2022 16:25

Toddler having breakfast on pjs? Wouldn't think twice as long as he was decent.

Adult in a skimpy nighty? Would judge.

LizzieSiddal · 06/03/2022 16:26

Not all all.

grey12 · 06/03/2022 16:26

Yes I kind of would 🤷🏻‍♀️ pjs are for the bedroom. And I'm someone who leaves the house without brushing my hair sometimes

You said your child got dirty I was going to say I wouldn't judge you for them getting dirty. But then, I assume, you went back to the room and got pjs??!!! Why? Did you not bring any more clothes? Hmm

HopeYourHighHorseBucks · 06/03/2022 16:28

No. Especially not a young child.

I read OP as meaning that on subsequent days, they haven't got the toddler dressed before breakfast but get him dressed after breakfast because of their experience on Day 1.

@mynameiscalypso oh! Got it! Thanks

Personally, I definitely wouldn't do that in a hotel. At home, everyday Wink

No since the first day we just bring him down for breakfast in his PJs. Then change him afterward.

Nope wouldn't judge at all. He's still a baby. All I would think is that's prob a good idea as he can get as messy as he wants and get changed after breakfast.

Kanaloa · 06/03/2022 16:47

Of course 😂 classic breakfast when you’re wearing your smart bright white holiday polo shirt.

Mine live off pastries abroad as a treat if it’s a place with breakfast so I was wondering.

Hellocatshome · 06/03/2022 16:52

How does he get his clothes dirty but doesn't get his PJs dirty?

Loopytiles · 06/03/2022 16:56

If the other guests are looking friendly it’s probably because they’re pleased to see a small DC. If unfriendly, the opposite! Doubt the PJs make any difference.

RomeoMcFlourish · 06/03/2022 17:01

I would look if I saw your DC eating breakfast in his PJ’s, but only because I’d be thinking how cute toddlers look first thing in the morning whilst they’re still in their PJ’s and their hair is all wild. I think people enjoy seeing a toddler really tucking into a meal as well!

HashtagShitShop · 06/03/2022 17:02

We stayed in a hotel with my brother and sister in law and nephew who was just 2 last year. He had an accident and I took him and changed him and as it was early evening I put him in nightwear instead of day clothes. He got several "awwww's!" as we walked back to our group but that was about it in terms of attention.

Personally I'd not even notice and wouldn't care either way as long as he wasn't running round screaming and disrupting others.

Cutemob · 06/03/2022 17:07

Well it wouldn't bother me in the slightest! But this is coming from someone who took their kids to swimming this morning in cossies and hooded towels, then brought them back home via a quick nip to the shops in their warm onesies (UK) so think what you like about my level of fucks given Grin

I cannot imagine having the time or inclination to make judgements like this on random people.

VanLife · 06/03/2022 17:35

Especially on holiday! ☝️

Ginger1982 · 06/03/2022 17:35

I would probably just put a massive bib on him! I mean, how many pairs of pjs did you bring? Is he going to bed every night in food stained pjs?
