Would you judge us? (Lighthearted question)

This is lighthearted I am just wondering what others are thinking about us. Currently on holiday and on the first day DS (age 2) ruined his outfit before we had even left the hotel at breakfast. Since then we have brought him down in his PJs. I have noticed a few looks from other guests looking at DS. Not sure if it's because he is still in his PJs or not.
Just wondering would you judge us for this?

Honestly
Wouldn’t even notice
When I’m on holiday it’s all about my children and…. Me
I don’t give a hoot what anything does as long as it doesn’t tangibly adversely impact my children and i ie excessive noise, rudeness, sweating loudly etc

What anyone wears - baby, toddler or adult is irrelevant to me.

Landedonfeet · 07/03/2022 08:29

Swearing!

alrightfella · 07/03/2022 08:38

Not at all I did this when the dc were little. Or I put them back in yesterdays clothes for breakfast and got them changed after.

Christmas1988 · 07/03/2022 08:54

I usually take mine down to breakfast in PJs or the night before clothes so no judgement from me! It’s hard enough being a mum without judging others mums!

Ozgirl75 · 07/03/2022 08:59

I love toddlers in their little pyjamas, so sweeet! So yes I would look, would smile and remember the adorable chunkiness of when mine were toddlers and would wake up all bedwarm and cosy and soft.

shinynewapple22 · 07/03/2022 09:07

They are probably looking over thinking 'cute toddler'. Especially if they look to be of an age where their own DC are grown but no grandchildren yet !

MoiraQ · 07/03/2022 09:08

Well it wouldn't bother me in the slightest! But this is coming from someone who took their kids to swimming this morning in cossies and hooded towels, then brought them back home via a quick nip to the shops in their warm onesies (UK) so think what you like about my level of fucks given

The swimming team teens all do that here, and then they all traipse in to the shops searching for carbs. No one looks twice.

I wouldn't bat an eyelid at a toddler in PJs at any time or place. But I'm judging you for Dubai, because you will be lovely and warm, whilst I'm sat here freezing my nipples off (though I've heard the Dubai Aircon is ferocious Grin)

LookItsMeAgain · 07/03/2022 09:09

@yellowdress123

For some reason I have packed 6 PJs for a 7 night stay Confused. It was abit of a last minute plan so I packed hurriedly and just grabbed what was in the draw. Im hoping one day this week he doesn't make a mess or he will be coming down in his vest on the final day Grin.
I'm sorry, you grabbed them out of where? I think you mean a drawer as in a chest of moveable shelves, with fronts on them = chest of drawers.

I don't judge you for how you bring your child to/from breakfast on holidays. I do judge you for not knowing that it's drawer and not draw.

FlickyCrumble · 07/03/2022 09:10

Always put a scruffy t shirt on for breakfast. Change afterwards. Clothes have a hierarchy, evening wear get demoted to day trips gets demoted to beach wear gets demoted to breakfast.

@LookItsMeAgain

There's always one Hmm

dancinfeet · 07/03/2022 09:12

A toddler? Absolutely not. The couple who came down to breakfast in the Marriott hotel in their dressing gowns and slippers, yes I judged.

caringcarer · 07/03/2022 09:12

I can't imagine anyone would care as long as had something on.

peboh · 07/03/2022 09:15

I don't think anyone really cares. Also at that age, you can barely tell the difference between pjs and clothes. I'm sure people have even noticed what he's wearing.

I can almost certainly guarantee that there are more out there thinking it...only I've been either brave or stupid enough to post it Grin

We completely got it wrong on our first hotel holiday with a toddler as I just hadn't packed enough clothes for him. He ended up flying home on a lunchtime flight in his least dirty PJs! I was so embarrassed and kept tucking a blanket over him to try and disguise it but that probably just drew more attention to it as he kept kicking it off.
We'd always done self catering holidays before that where the DC had spent most of their time in a swimsuit or pants and so had been much easier to wipe down and, actually, had scarcely worn clothes in the first place. The contrast to a hotel was a shocker, especially as we were on a half board deal and DS was on baked beans and scrambled egg every morning and chocolate ice cream for pudding each evening.
I'd also not realised that everyone would get dressed up each evening so we were woefully under dressed for that too but that's a whole other thread!

HomeHomeInTheRange · 07/03/2022 12:54

LOL, I wouldn’t have had a 2 yo in ‘lovely holiday clothes’ in the first place!

Ducksurprise · 07/03/2022 12:56

I probably would look and smile, for me it would be cute, I'm way passed toddledom.

Ducksurprise · 07/03/2022 12:58

This is what I wanted to say
yellowdress123 · 07/03/2022 13:06

@LookItsMeAgain oh dear lesson learnt Blush

I am dyslexic and often rely on autocorrect if that gives me an excuse?! Grin

Just to add this morning another family had their Childern in PJs. Maybe we have started something Grin.

I wouldn't notice Tbh.

Madre123 · 07/03/2022 14:40

Give him your phone or an iPad and put a cartoon on for him and eat your breakfast in peace...NEVER worry about what other people think x

coffeebabes · 08/03/2022 09:36

@LookItsMeAgain
I notice spelling mistakes all the time on here, but i just choose to ignore them and move on, because calling someone out for it is just irrelevant to the conversation and, well It's just a sad thing to do really Confused

MrsSkylerWhite · 08/03/2022 09:38

Might think you were a bit odd bringing a two year old down to breakfast in smart, clean clothes Grin

Mrsjayy · 08/03/2022 09:40

Last time I was in a hotel a few of the toddlers were in pyjamas its a sensible idea.
