Try Semantle.

It's like Wordle in that you need to guess the word of the day, but works by semantics. So you input a word and it will tell you how close you are. You have infinite guesses.

For example, ysterday's word was 'costly' with expensive, cumbersome and burdensome being the three closest words.

I'm currently 840 words away with a similarity of 47%. I started at under 2%.

Anybody else attempting it?

#31 in 167. I was stuck in the high 900s for a good few guesses but I realise I sometimes overthink it and expect the word to be more unusual maybe.

I'm still stuck on 982 at 106 guesses, can someone please give me a hint!!

Yesterday the only green words I had were ‘alien’ and ‘porn’. It threw me right off and I had to give up

Yes my alien porn vocabulary is pretty poor too 😆

Got it! My stats are off because I started on mobile this morning - 147 guesses before another 234 on the computer! I'm hooked now...

Couldn't get anywhere with semantle. Too difficult for me!

I solved Semantle #31 in 100 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 5.04. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #41. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 21.63. semantle.novalis.org/

I'm so relieved because I did terribly yesterday! The only green answer I managed was 'computer' and spent ages going round in circles with a load of technology-related stuff that never scored in the green.

Ended up forgetting about it and was annoyed when I remembered this morning!

I'm on 996 and running out of antonyms and synonyms 😂

Thank you for sharing OP. It’s driving me mad today but is drowning out some anxiety.

Had nothing near and suddenly got 925 on guess 52. Everything I’ve tried around that is totally cold. Next closest is 647.
