Don't get it at all..I'm mid 30s but if we had worn stuff like this as teenagers we would've been beaten up. The joke when I was at school was to say that someone bought their clothes from the tesco value range so I'm baffled by this 'trend' now.

AdobeWanKenobi · 20/02/2022 23:37

@HailAdrian

Pretty sure you lot aren't the target market for this stuff...
Clearly. Why don't you enlighten us who is then?

Don't Lidl or Aldo have their own range

Sparklingbrook · 21/02/2022 00:23

Lidl had some at one point.

My partner loves Gregg's I think he'd be thrilled!

DamnUserName21 · 21/02/2022 07:11

Too funny

Octopus37 · 21/02/2022 07:47

I think it's cool tbh, in fact I'm making a special trip to Birmingham in a few weeks to see the cafe.

Looking at the bigger picture, its a way to get people interested in shopping on the High Street again which is very much needed. Maybe more shops need to do things to get customers through the doors again. Obviously, there's the novelty value as well, hell we all need a bit of fun at the moment. As for landfill and waste, you can always buy the t-shirt and wear it as a nightshirt, you could use that argument for anything.

Unsurprisingly, I'm a Greggs fan, I think they're courageous for taking the plunge and doing this after their first loss in 36 years and I admire any hospitality outlet that managed to keep going during the pandemic. The vegan sausage roll is a favourite of mine and I'm not even vegan.

Sounds like it's all sold out, so not sure about that. If you want something from Primark don't you have to go to the actual shop anyway?

My 15 year old DS and his friends will probably be all for this.

Hadenoughofthisbullshit · 21/02/2022 08:47

I quite like it. Wouldn’t wear it though. I like the idea of someone named Greg wearing it.😁

Reminds me of uni when me and my friends all bought t-shirts from the local tourist department ironically. They said “it’s never dull in hull” on.

Riapia · 21/02/2022 08:58

Anybody remember FCUK jumpers?
It’s a lie I never wore one.😉

SartresSoul · 21/02/2022 09:09

They really don’t look like uniforms. Greggs staff wear a polo shirt, black trousers and apron not a tracksuit.

I worked there years ago and it was the worst job I ever had, utterly miserable. Put me off ever going in there again.

ThoseFestiveLights · 21/02/2022 09:16

My teens love Greggs - it’s a cult brand now.

FleeceNavidadFromTheSheep · 21/02/2022 09:16

Branding is a thing with the young 'uns.

DS1 sewed an IKEA hat from a blue bag, to wear at a festival.

And they all wear branded workwear, in an ironic way, at festivals. DS2 went to Reading wearing his Legoland jacket.

mizzo · 21/02/2022 09:17

DS1 has bought the socks, he also has the Lidl socks which he has declared the comfiest socks in the world!
His friend has a bucket hat made out of an Aldi bag.

megletthesecond · 21/02/2022 09:19

People will wear it at home.

I've never been in a Greggs.

FleeceNavidadFromTheSheep · 21/02/2022 09:23

I want a Greggs now...

LoisWilkersonslastnerve · 21/02/2022 09:37

Oh it's not for the likes of us. It's for the yoofs. Looking like a walking meme is the new duck face Grin

Sparklingbrook · 21/02/2022 10:16

My yoofs must be too old. They were both a bit 🙄

A Gregg Wallace range? That would be something to SHOUT ABOUT.

Sparklingbrook · 21/02/2022 14:30

I'd quite like a Greg James sweatshirt and joggers. He's the best Greg.
