Wonderful. More pointless shit to end up in landfill. Angry
Absolutely agree. It’s not funny in the slightest - we need to stop wasting resources like this that simply produces more landfill and waste.
Sparklingbrook · 20/02/2022 19:31

Could be an even worse purchase

Gregg's and Primark are a match made in heaven.

BertieBotts · 20/02/2022 22:43

How did you get your picture all see through? :o

The original file will be a transparent gif. Basically the surrounding areas of the image are set to be see through to they take on the colour of whatever background they are put on to.

On the computer file it would probably appear to have a checkerboard surround.

Sparklingbrook · 20/02/2022 22:56

I just right clicked, selected 'Save Image as' and downloaded it. I can't even remember which site it was from (apologies for anyone wanting a PREGGS t shirt. Grin

It's real and it's a sell-out. It's meant to be tongue in cheek. My friend works in marketing for Primark and got me one of the jumpers. I love it. She has one too. Her husband has the socks and boxers. We are 41, 49 and 52. I think it's a joke you either get or don't get. Yes it's fast fashion but no more than anything else in the high street.

spiderlight · 20/02/2022 23:01

I showed these to my 14-year-old earlier in a 'Good grief - aren't these hideous?' way and he informed me that he's already arranged to go into town with his friends in the week to get the hat and see how much the shoes are. He has an IKEA bucket hat and wears it, so I don't know why I was surprised, really. I just really hope they're sold out.

Rhannion · 20/02/2022 23:02

Mr Misogynist Beardy Herbface should be modeling that lot...

Sparklingbrook · 20/02/2022 23:02

I don't get the joke because I don't know why you'd want a pair of joggers with Greggs on.
I don't know what statement that makes really other than 'I've been to Primark and bought a pair of cheap joggers with Greggs up the leg'.

'In the week' will definitely be too late. I think you'll be safe. Grin

@MiddleNameJane

I get that it's irony but it's just more short-lived, trend-led crap isn't it? Today's "must have" but with a definite sell by date, nobody will be wanting to continue to wear these until the end of their useful life. So just more waste for to be shipped to other countries for their people to deal with.
Totally agree, it’s absolute nonsense.
BertieBotts · 20/02/2022 23:07

I mean to be fair, I have absolutely no idea why anyone would want joggers (or anything else) with a designer name down the side of them. What does that say to anyone except "I have more money than sense"? Don't get the hype for names at all.

Maybe the Primark thing is like that but ironic. People turning away from the idea of labels. I bought a second hand coat today and the person who sold it to me kept going on about it being Calvin Klein. I don't give a shit about that I just wanted it to be warm! Which it is. And cheaper than a brand new one from decathlon.

SliceOfCakeCupOfTea · 20/02/2022 23:09

I love stuff like this. Currently wearing my Aldi pjs

BottleOfSun · 20/02/2022 23:09

The bucket hat and sausage rolls socks would be great for festivals!

AdobeWanKenobi · 20/02/2022 23:15

I get the Christmas jumpers, the joke there is they are supposed to be bad, so so bad AND cheap is mildly amusing. I don't get this at all.

But then I suppose we spent the nineties in jumpers with GAP all across the front as advertising, maybe this is progress? Either way, could murder a sausage and bean melt right now 😂

HailAdrian · 20/02/2022 23:22

Pretty sure you lot aren't the target market for this stuff...

Sparklingbrook · 20/02/2022 23:23

At least GAP is a clothes shop. I had a Benetton jumper back in the day.Grin
