The Larnaca flight is north of Leeds now. That’s going to be a long trip home for the passengers!
It looks like it's headed to Newcastle

There's a Venice to LHR on the ground at Newcastle already. It looks like it had a few holding loops and wasn't even allowed to try LHR
Poor sods. I wouldn't envy the coach drivers today.

I would have thought there were landing slots at East Midlands or Doncaster.

Maybe but there are often other factors in play such as remaining parking space if there have been lots of diversions, availability of ground handling ( that can be a problem for the 380, it’s not just a case of having a runway, there are issue sometimes with taxiway/runway strength and even quite mundane stuff like having the right tugs and towbars, adequate steps)…
