Bangalore next!

EduCated · 18/02/2022 13:02

Faro-Luton also headed north.

starfishmummy · 18/02/2022 13:02

Well done Qatar!! I guess they probably ky have to make do with Brew and Cake

notimagain · 18/02/2022 13:02

@liveforsummer

Qatar been in a weird holding pattern, not the normal circle
Playing catch up here:

That looks to me like one standard hold at Biggin Hill, albeit then an abbreviated second time around (the “loop” or teardrop shape ) to start the approach.

FWIW holds are not normally circles, they are meant to be ovals…

Namechangeagain84 · 18/02/2022 13:02

Yayyyyy! Well done!

SpottyStripyDuvet · 18/02/2022 13:03

Looks like UAE15 coming out of holding pattern and heading for LGW.

secretrugbyfan · 18/02/2022 13:03

Qatar finally down after three attempts!!!!

Windstartingup · 18/02/2022 13:03

Phew! Qatar

ShineTogether · 18/02/2022 13:03

@GCAcademic

Imagine being a nervous flyer and flying today!
I don't have to imagine very hard. This is my very real Friday!
Malbecfan · 18/02/2022 13:04

TAP headed for LGW has now declared a fuel emergency off the coast of France

EduCated · 18/02/2022 13:04

Ooh, US Air Force have been out to Sweden (currently over the North Sea)

liveforsummer · 18/02/2022 13:05

Circle/ oval no need to be quite so specific I just meant the loop they are all just rejoining the loop - Qatar went off on a tangent the others haven't, was my point.

@CaveMum

I don't think Qatar is going to make it! Where else can an A380 land or is he another one off to Geneva?!
The runway and Doncaster Sheffield is very long. It used to be RAF Finningley. They get a lot of large cargo planes there as well. It isn't too windy in South Yorkshire right now. East Midlands has a similar length runway.
Legalconundrums · 18/02/2022 13:06

SOU to Guernsey went over my house about 20mins ago, it was bobbing about all over the place, I'd be shatt7ng my knickers if I was on that.

EduCated · 18/02/2022 13:06

Cork-Gatwick looks to be diverting after circling for a looong time.

Marmelace · 18/02/2022 13:09

He has gone from 6/7k watchers to over 2000k, and is going to be on for 11 hours live

Marmelace · 18/02/2022 13:10

Or is that 200k

thecircusclown · 18/02/2022 13:10

Where do we think TP1334 is heading for? think that's the one with the fuel emergency

Lightningrain · 18/02/2022 13:10

The Larnaca flight is north of Leeds now. That’s going to be a long trip home for the passengers!

EduCated · 18/02/2022 13:10

A380 attempting Gatwick now!

Thesearmsofmine · 18/02/2022 13:11

I hope someone is keeping him topped up with tea and bacon sandwiches.

Malbecfan · 18/02/2022 13:12

I'm guessing the TAP is heading for Paris but not sure

comfortablyfrumpy · 18/02/2022 13:12

That Virgin Montego Bay is still looping - it's a while since first attempt.

notimagain · 18/02/2022 13:13

Fair enough..ATC often park you in a (oval) hold and then at some point maybe tell you to go off on a heading, or even just do a pure circle so that you leave the hold in the correct sequence with the correct spacing verses the traffic ahead of you..

I would have thought there were landing slots at East Midlands or Doncaster.
