What job or career would you aim for if you could do ANYTHING?

Posting as think it might be an interesting discussion, and keen to hear ideas I may not have though of.

I need something to aim for and throw myself into to distract away from health problems and infertility. (My health means plenty of jobs are unsuitable for me personally, but still would enjoy reading about other people's ambitions and adventures)

What would you do if you were free to do anything?

I'm far too old to change careers now but twenty years as a foster Carer has made me realise I would have loved to join the police force and work in child protection.

Pilot, something in medicine or forensics.

I'm not clever enough to do it though.

Sports journalism. Realistically I was never good enough at writing & as a single parent to 2 x under 10's windy evenings at league 2 grounds wouldn't be practical but hearing/reading/seeing increasing numbers of women - Radio 5 in particular is wonderful.
But that would be the dream.

I really like the idea of being a paramedic, but I'm not very good with blood and really don't think I could stomach broken bones and such.

Otherwise I also would like to be a flight attendant.

In the real world I work in an office. Boring.

I would love to be a party planner, it looks like so much fun and I love organising friends and families parties. It doesn’t pay as well as my current job and I’ve worked too hard to get where I am but if we ever win the lottery or my husbands salary triples I might just do it.

Relationship counsellor, I think

I do marketing and support business growth. I actually love my job. If I had tons of money I would choose to work with a greater range of companies. I love helping small business but can't do as much of this as I like as I need money, so work more with cash rich companies. I love to champion independent business and find it very exciting and rewarding.

I would work on film sets in some sort of production assistant role. I would absolutely love to see how things work behind the scenes and I would enjoy the variety, the travel and being on my feet instead of behind a desk.

Sadly the money and the fact I have small children make it totally unrealistic for me!
