Should I be shot at dawn or hung in public??

My dd eats homemade food but its not always made from organic ingredients and I used to feed her jars. She wears disposable nappies and was bottle-fed from about 6 weeks. She watches telly, eats biscuits and has been introduced to the joys of chocolate.

Lock me up now!!!

my bf wears one - after buying it at a 'health fair' - I haven't been able to look at her in the same way since!!!

am shuddering at the thought of putting mooncup in dishwasher

obviously need to get more in touch with my vaginal environment

wobblyknicks · 18/11/2004 12:57

mts - i think we're all as in touch with our VE's as we need to be frankly!!! I know its there, thats all the interaction I need!!!

Didnt know there was a whole environment down there though ......

MummyToSteven · 18/11/2004 12:59

yes I think the whole PG /internal exams/childbirth etc process does put you in touch with it as much as you ever want to!

miam · 18/11/2004 13:00

Does this mean that using a Tampax is environmental pollution?

wobblyknicks · 18/11/2004 13:00

mts - totally agree - after having verious things put up before childbirth and then something rather large coming out, i'd rather leave it alone for now....and the next few decades too!!!!

LOL miam!!! Does it also mean that if any DH/DP/boyfriend/other wants to 'visit', then they should pay enviromental tax charges???

Well, shot at dawn is far more dramatic but hung in public gives you opportunity for last speech along the lines of 'tis a far, far better thing I do...'.

wobblyknicks · 18/11/2004 13:05

edam - wouldn't the speech get drowned out by the shouts of 'You should have used Cotton Bottoms', 'This is what happens to bottle feeders' and 'Tellies should be banned' though??

wk!!!!! D'you I have just gone through the whole explanations of periods phase with dd1, and now that she has started thought that my work with her was done. Now thanks to MN have discovered there is a whole new side to periods - mooncups, dishwashers, vaginal environments..... Sigh. Another few weeks worth of talking to do...

wobblyknicks · 18/11/2004 13:09

Forget that miam!!! Just give her a pack of towels and she'll never look back!!!

a quote from 'Gill'
""I've been using the Mooncup for three years and it has been fantastic. I have a very heavy flow and used to use 2 x super plus tampons at a time, and a pad as well, and I would still be in a mess in an hour for the first 2 days of my period."

methinks her cup runneth over

wobblyknicks · 18/11/2004 13:10

LOL but also yeuch Jools!!!!

what if you thought it was a great idea - would you be happy with the fact that someone could have 'used it for 3 full cycles' and then returned it and you're the next owner

jabberwocky · 18/11/2004 13:13

Just got up the nerve to look at the mooncup site. EWWWWWW!!! And how on earth could that thing be "so comfortable you don't even know it's there"?

Let's see, ds at age 15 mos. is still firmly attached to his strained jar food, can use a cup/beaker for water but prefers to have his milk from a bottle (and I allow it!!!), has always worn disposable diapers and had chips as one of his first forays into table food (he adores them now, of course - how horrible am I?)

We did have to use reusable cloth wipes for one horrid week when ds's diaper rash was defying every known remedy and I can tell you now that it was absolutely disgusting.

Shall I surrender to be drawn and quartered?

joanneg · 18/11/2004 13:13

TWO super plus at one time? how??? oh dear I have a lot to learn

wobblyknicks · 18/11/2004 13:15

I've just been reading the FAQ's - my legs are firmly crossed at the revelations there!!!

jabberwocky · 18/11/2004 13:15

She must be really, er, flexible.

coppertop · 18/11/2004 13:15

After 2 large babies I don't think a mooncup would be enough for my V.E. Do they make them saucepan-sized?

wobblyknicks · 18/11/2004 13:17

ct - just stick a household bucket up there instead then!!!

OP posts:
JoolsToo · 18/11/2004 13:18

coppertop - you are really ing me today

nailpolish · 18/11/2004 13:19

CT - 'chuck a welly up a closey' springs to mind when i think of mine too (kidding - kind of)

bonkerz · 18/11/2004 13:19
